<p>Here is a look at five freshmen off to solid starts in their high school careers.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1156021' first='Madison' last='Foster']</strong>, 5'9”, PF/C, Oswego, ‘28</p>

<p>Foster is pacing the Indians (5-5) in scoring. The freshman big is averaging 15.6 points per game. She has an impressive stat line through nine games grabbing 6.8 rebounds, 2.2 steals, and 2.1 blocked shots per contest. She does the bulk of her scoring in the paint and has attempted just four three-point field goals.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1156028' first='Morgan' last='Sump']</strong>, 5'11”, C, Blue Valley (Randolph), ‘28</p>

<p>Sump has been cleaning the glass for the Rams. She is averaging 6.2 rebounds and scoring 6.3 points per game. She is currently shooting 38 percent from the field and 71 percent from the free-throw line. The Rams are off to a 6-3 start to their season.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1156032' first='Bailey' last='Odell']</strong>, 5'6”, SF, Pike Valley, ‘28</p>

<p>Odell is another freshman doing work on the boards. She is averaging 6.3 rebounds and 4.3 points in 12 games played. She is not the primary scorer for the Panthers but is chipping in big minutes and making 2.3 steals per contest. Pike Valley is 7-5 through its first 12 games.</p>

<p>The Moundridge Wildcats are 10-1 to open the season and getting big-time solid production from Conkling. The freshman big is scoring 7.8 points and averaging 4.1 rebounds per game. She scored 13 points in the Wildcats' most recent victory and is shooting 42 percent from the field and 33 percent from three-point range.</p>

<p>The Colts are a young squad and struggling, however, this Haysville freshman has been showing off her skills. She is second on the team in scoring, averaging 4.9 points per game. Craig leads the Colts in rebounds grabbing 4.9 boards per contest.</p>
