<p>The Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Player of the Week Award is given to one student-athlete among many deserving candidates who demonstrates excellence during a week of their team's competition. The winner contributes to their team's success in multiple statistical categories to help her team compete to their best potential. Several players were deserving of recognition, but only one can be selected for Player of the Week. Those not chosen as Player of the Week received recognition as Player of the Week Honorable Mention. Here are the girls who had a magnificent seventh week of the season and it's time to celebrate their accomplishments!</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Clare had a week for the history books: 75 points, 15 of 22 from 3, 26 of 36 overall, 8 of 10 free throws, 14 rebounds, and 8 steals. During Frankenmuth's 65-39 victory against undefeated #3 ranked Detroit Country Day, Clare scored 32 points (4/5 3PT, 8/10 2PT, 4/5 FT) with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. She followed that clutch performance with a record-setting encore during a 63-20 victory against Bay City John Glenn. Clare set a single-game school record with 43 points and 11 3-pointers (11/17 3PT, 3/4 2PT, 4/5 FT). She added 9 rebounds and 3 steals. Frankenmuth and Clare are firing on all cylinders right now at the right time of the year to make a serious playoff run.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Izzy had an outstanding week for Lake Orion, scoring 67 points with 22 rebounds in 3 games. She started the week with 18 points and 5 rebounds during a 46-43 win versus Oxford. Izzy followed that up with 22 points and 8 rebounds against rival Clarkston and led the team with 27 points and 9 rebounds against #10 ranked Orchard Lake St. Mary's. Izzy is playing the role of Wonder Woman for the Dragons this season and her heroic effort, production, and determination have pushed the team to an 8-5 record this season. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Maddie stepped up to score 22 points with 9 rebounds in a 59-47 win against Troy and added 25 points with 6 rebounds and 2 steals in a 54-47 win against Birmingham Groves. She drives hard downhill to score layups, hits free throws, and fights into position for offensive rebound putbacks. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Victoria had a phenomenal week for Hemlock, scoring 56 points with 11 steals in two wins. She started the week strong with 24 points against St. Charles, jumping passes to grab multiple steals and score transition layups. Victoria caught fire from 3-point distance against Michigan Lutheran Seminary, burying 6 triples and finishing the game with a career-high 32 points. She moves quickly through screens and keeps her balance to shoot with quick, deadly accuracy off the hop. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Mallory is our top-ranked Center in the 2027 class and her Grand Haven team is ranked top ten in D1 by several writers across the state. The Buccaneers kept rolling, beating undefeated Forest Hills Northern, Grandville, and West Ottawa. Mallory was dominant, posting 47 points, 27 rebounds, 12 assists, 23 steals, and 8 blocks in 3 games. Mallory made 9 of 10 field goals against Grandville and shot an efficient 59.3% from the field for the week. </p>
