Clare finished her career on a high note against eventual state champ Tecumseh in the semifinals. She displayed her strengths on both sides of the ball, sinking a team-high three triples, scoring layups with both hands and aggressively blocking shots on defense. Clare led the team with 15 points and secured four rebounds with four blocks. There appears to be a golden opportunity to contribute to Lake Superior State immediately and I’m excited to see Clare rise to the challenge as a freshman.

Clare continued her productive postseason for Frankenmuth vs. Tecumseh during the semifinal. She used good footwork to finish a step-through off the glass and added an offensive rebound put back plus a left-handed layup off two feet. Clare became a rim protector, aggressively swatting shots in the lane. She gave the Eagles a spark with her perimeter shooting–burying three triples. Clare led Frankenmuth with 15 points, adding four rebounds, and four blocks.

Frankenmuth is a team with a history of regular and postseason success, but they’ve earned a ton of respect this season by their performances against some of the toughest opponents in the state. They don’t compete and win those games without Clare. Clare averaged 18 points per game against 10 ranked opponents this season, including a 32-point performance against Detroit Country Day, a 23-point performance against Rockford, and a 19-point performance against DEPSA. She set the school record for threes in a game with 11 against Bay City John Glenn, setting the record for points with 43. Clare passed 1,000 career points this season and helped the team earn statement wins against Flint Powers Catholic, Freeland, Detroit Country Day, Saginaw Heritage, Goodrich, Detroit Edison, and St. Mary’s Prep. The Eagles share the TVC-Red title at 11-1 and ended the season 18-4. Clare will continue her basketball career at Lake Superior State.

Clare has been nothing short of spectacular during her final season for Frankenmuth. She earned POTW with a record-breaking 43 points and 11 triples against Bay City John Glenn while leading the Eagles to an (at the time) upset win against DCDHS with 32 points. Clare poured in 25 points against Rockford with 5 triples and had 19 points with 14 in the fourth quarter to help Frankenmuth secure another statement win against DEPSA. Clare is averaging 18 Pts/GM with 56 3PT, while Frankenmuth is 17-4 and one of the hottest teams heading into the playoffs. Her impact defensively and cold-blooded performances against elite competition earned a substantial rankings boost in our final update. Clare has proven she belongs on the Miss Basketball ballot.

Conzelmann has seen a couple recent offers, including the likes of Spring Arbor and Northwood. There’s a reason why. The Mystics Select 40 star is a true 2 way player that plays passing lanes and can create havoc on the defensive end. Offensively, she’s long and athletic and can create opportunities. Conzelmann is also a terrific shooter with definite 3 point range.

I really admire the way Conzelmann plays. She is a tall, athletic guard who has excellent shooting skills. Additionally, she is quite efficient on the defensive end of the court, making important steals and deflections
