Salpointe Catholic looks dominant as region play begins

Salpointe Catholic is the defending 4A State Champions, and despite losing Superstar [player_tooltip player_id='558893' first='Taliyah' last='Henderson'] (North Carolina commit) to a season ending knee injury, they are on track for another deep Playoff run again this year. What stands out to me after watching them play Region for Mica Mt. is that they are extremely deep with talent. They can go 10 deep and not miss a beat. They also have several very talented underclassmen that are getting significant playing time and contributing consistently. Another thing that also stood out to me was the fact that the older players help the younger players out and serve as role models and mentors. They are coaching from the bench or on the floor which helps these players grow faster which is key to the Lancers continued success. Here are some players that are making an impact for Salpointe Catholic.   Salpointe Impact Players:    [player_tooltip player_id='558902' first='Hannah' last='Williams'] is an outstanding player that is a 4 year starter for one of the top programs in Arizona. She is a versatile Combo Guard that can play Forward as well. She is an excellent shooter that can score from all 3 levels. She is a terrific defender that communicates constantly with her teammates and recognizes mismatches. What stands out the most is her leadership. The Northern Arizona commit is always positive with her teammates and a role model for the younger players.     [player_tooltip player_id='371488' first='Sidney' last='Anderson'] is one of the best shooters in the state of Arizona. She has tremendous range and can create off the dribble. She has an incredible motor and can get up the floor quickly with the ball. She can play the Point or Shooting Guard and is very versatile on defense. The Grand Canyon University commit is a high level player that is an excellent communicator as well.     [player_tooltip player_id='800943' first='Aryanna' last='Kollasch'] has tremendous upside and potential. She is very athletic for her size and she has a high basketball IQ for a Sophomore. She is a good shooter especially around the basket. She can guard multiple positions and and can rebound well. She will be a highly recruited player before she is finished at Salpointe.     [player_tooltip player_id='788466' first='Jayci' last='Nelson'] is an underrated guard that is a deadly shooter especially from the 3 point line. She runs the point for Salpointe and is an excellent distributor and playmaker. She keeps the ball moving and gets everyone involved in the offense. She is a good defender that can defend both guard positions.     [player_tooltip player_id='558905' first='Allison' last='Even'] is an under the radar player that can play 4 positions. She is a good scorer that can hit the mid range shots consistently and attack the basket when there is an opportunity. She is a solid defender and rebounder and can definitely play on the next level.     [player_tooltip player_id='1139263' first='Aliyah' last='Adger'] is a tough player that gets significant minutes as a Freshman for a deep and loaded Salpointe team. She is a tenacious defender that can guard 3 positions. She is solid on offense and developing. She is a good athlete that has good agility and footwork. Tremendous upside.     [player_tooltip player_id='1197307' first='Jolee' last='Nelson'] is a very underrated player that is just now getting back from a serious injury. She is a terrific shooter from the 3 point line and has a tremendous basketball IQ. She will be a big factor Salpointe if they go deep into the playoffs to add depth and experience. She can definitely play on the next level.
