She Got Next MLK Showcase: Top 15 Performers (6-10)

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A slew of showcase events during the period of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day caused a slight interruption in the January high school basketball schedule which is centered around region play. With that in the backburner, the push for the playoffs really ramps up.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Among the many showcase events that occurred this past Saturday was the She Got Next MLK Showcase. Hosted by A1 Hoops Report, it is three She Got Next-branded events that take place during the high school sports year.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We at Prep Girls Hoops made the trip to Carolina HS for the day's festivities. We unveiled our initial list as part of our top 15 performers. How the Wildcats utilized that interior attack at the Knights may or may not have been what was expected. Hall concluded Saturday's matchup with 18 points. She certainly bolsters what Woodmont is looking to get accomplished in the interior in terms of scoring in the paint as well as rebounding. Hall also adds efficient running of the floor to her overall game as well and she has no issues with drawing contact that can place her at the free throw line. The star senior guard for 4A Fountain Inn has been doing that all season long. She continued her superb work on Saturday at the She Got Next MLK Showcase by dropping 16 points to lead her Fury to a 74-42 victory over another 4A foe in Aiken. One can place Sullivan in a lineup as either a one or a two guard. Attacking the basket is also central to Sullivan's game and she excels at this either in the halfcourt game or in transition. The Bulldogs pulled off the 54-35 victory over the Warriors and Mattress concluded the game with 15 points. She particularly came through in the second half where she scored 11 of her 15 points. At an even six feet, she can present matchup problems for many teams. As one of six juniors on the team, she fuses together veteran instincts with stellar frontcourt talent. On Saturday at Carolina, the Red Devils had to be given their due. With 12 points, White led Liberty to a hard-fought 30-28 victory over 4A Brookland-Cayce. She is every bit as tough as she is reliable and she displays that toughness with her willingness to fall on the floor to complete plays. White also has no issues drawing contact to find her way to the free throw line. Lusk concluded her morning with a 10-point performance. Lusk is one of three sophomores on this season's Bears team. She primarily operates as a two guard but displays an ability to put points on the board at all three levels.
