Snow Day Research: Five Kansas Freshmen Off To Hot Starts

Through five games, she has scored 10.2 points per game. She has also been cleaning the glass for the Blue Jays grabbing 5.4 rebounds per contest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1132091' first='Aaliyah' last='Baker']</strong>, 5'8”, PG, Fairfield, ‘28</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Fairfield Falcons have a freshman point guard deserving of being added to the rankings. Through five games played, Baker is averaging 8.8 points and seven rebounds per game. She has been impacting the game on the defensive end of the court as well averaging more than one steal and blocked shot per contest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1132092' first='Chloe' last='Briand']</strong>, 5'5”, CG, Western Plains, ‘28</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Briand is a multi-sport prospect who has been doing work on the boards for the Bobcats. In five games she has grabbed 6.6 rebounds per game and has scored 4.2 points per contest. She was used at the setter position as a freshman and finished with 355 assists.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1132093' first='Jaycee' last='Schulz']</strong>, 5'3”, CG, Oswego, ‘28</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Oswego's Schulz has gotten out of the gate quickly for the Indians. In six games she has scored 9.5 points per game and six rebounds per contest. She can run the floor and is also averaging 2.8 assists and 3.3. steals per game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1132094' first='Leah' last='Stinemetz']</strong>, 5'6”, CG, Ingalls, ‘28</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stinemetz is among the freshman leaders in 3-point field goals made. She has converted on 8-of-30 attempts from deep and is scoring 6.2 points per game through six contests.
