She is averaging 17 a game for the 21-4 Jesters. <strong>Ava's</strong> season high of 33 points included 7-11 from long-range. She can get hot beyond the arc, but complements her shooting with nifty ball handling and a nice frame to score inside. Her effortless ability to finish with either hand, particularly on fast breaks, sets her apart. <strong>Ava</strong> is an all-around gifted scorer who knows how to mix it up. She steps into her shot and has a very fluid catch-and-shoot jumper. She is a great all-around player who uses her body well when attacking the basket. She clogs passing lanes and turns defense into offense. Great release point and follow through on her jumper. <strong>Deja</strong> is rather crafty with the ball in her hands and utilizes long strides to get wherever she wants on the court. She has 12 double-digit scoring performances on the year! She is very efficient for her age and excels as a defender. With almost 5 steals and 1 block per game, her ability to cause turnovers improves her team's chances night-in night-out. <strong>Maggie's</strong> high school debut came in a crushing 2 pt defeat, but she had 18 points and 8 steals while shooting 64% from the field. A very impressive debut to say the least. Being selected as a captain is a testament to her leadership ability and overall confidence. With only 4 losses on the season, <strong>Carmen's</strong> play has carried her team at times. In their latest dominate victory against Torres High, she had an efficient 23 points. Lately, she has been drawing a lot of fouls and getting to the line.
