The holiday season means it's time for the annual Winter rankings update. As it pertains to the Class of 2027, we have expanded the overall rankings and watch list from 125 total prospects to 150 total prospects, so there will likely be a handful of new names on each position list. Below is a look at the Point Guards in 2027, with some analysis on a few who have stood out for one reason or another since our last update.

[player_tooltip player_id='756239' first='Riley' last='Huotari'], 2027, 5-6 PG, Franklin Central H.S.
- Riley has helped lead the Flashes to a 14-6 record already this season, nearly matching last season's 15 wins with a handful of games still to go. She has been a selfless playmaker, always looking to find open teammates in positions to score, as evidenced by her 6.3 assists per game. She can shoot/score it herself, but her focus with her high school team has been defense and distributing the ball, always trying to make plays that affect winning.

[player_tooltip player_id='751088' first='Korinne' last='Nickolson'], 2027, 5-4 PG, Pike H.S.
- Pike is having their best season since 2017-2018, when they made it to the Regional Championship game. Korinne has been a big part of that success, always playing a poised role with the ball in her hands. She is a creator off the dribble, she's a willing passer, but she can also knock down an open shot when in rhythm. She is tough-nosed, hard-working, and she's willing to be physical at her size. She is a "glue" kid who does the little things.

[player_tooltip player_id='751114' first='Olivia' last='Pratcher'], 2027, 5-5 PG, Daleville H.S.
- Olivia was a Varsity contributor as a Freshman, averaging 4.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. But in her second year, she has really taken on a much bigger role, she has been more aggressive, and she is putting up 12.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per night. She is a strong, somewhat wiry, and athletic guard who plays with a good motor. She can play fast and/or physical, and she does not stop moving. She's also an effective defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='751036' first='Allie' last='Tallent'], 2027, 5-5 PG, Monrovia H.S.
- Allie is a kid who is already skilled and understands how to play, but she strikes me as someone who could continue to grow and develop her game into college. She is long, wiry, fast, and good with the ball. She can score it when necessary, but she has plenty of teammates at Monrovia she can get it to who can fill it up as well. She is a willing passer, she sees the floor well, plus she can defend the ball and affect passing lanes with her length.
