Olivia has been one of my favorites to watch in this class over the years, and hopefully she’ll start getting more recruiting attention after her play this Spring & Summer. She has a good all-around feel for the position, she’s a more-than-willing passer, and she is a nice athlete in most directions. She uses her length and savvy defensively to get steals/deflections, plus she plays with a nice motor. At this point, I think she’s a very under-the-radar recruit who some college is going to be thrilled about getting once it’s all said and done.
I have been a fan of Olivia’s since initially seeing her during our Fall Freshman Showcase back in 2023. She is a nice all-around athlete, she has good length, nice strength at her size, and she has always been steady each time I’ve seen her. She can operate like a traditional point guard, with her head up, scanning the floor, looking for open teammates. She can also get downhill and score the ball going to the basket, plus she has always been a highly effective defender. This year, the Junior is averaging career bests in scoring (15.8 ppg), rebounding (7.3 rpg), assists (5.3 apg), and steals (4.4 spg).
I feel like Olivia could be an elite small college “sleeper” in this 2027 class. She is strong, athletic, and she has some length to her frame. She is protective of the ball, she sees the floor well, but she can also act as a multilevel scorer, especially in her high school setting. I just like how she competes, she defends too, and she rebounds her position well. Playing in front of coaches and playing against some of the state’s better prospects should really help her.
Olivia was a standout a year ago at the Prep Girls Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase, and I thought she’d have a bit bigger Freshman season. She did play a vital role for Daleville, averaging 4.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.3 steals per game, but she was almost leaned on more heavily defensively. This season, with a little growth and added strength, I figure the high-motor guard will likely improve her scoring quite a bit while maintaining her prowess as a highly effective defender. I really enjoy her energy and toughness.
