Allie is a guard who put together a productive showing during the live 5-on-5 action at the Cornerstone Elite Camp. She displayed her shooting range by knocking down multiple three-pointers and also showed the ability to create her own offense with a smooth pull-up jumper. Allie attacked the basket with confidence, getting downhill and putting pressure on the defense. She also contributed on the glass, crashing in for rebounds and converting an offensive putback. Her ability to score from multiple areas of the floor while contributing as a rebounder made for a well-rounded performance.

I almost didn’t recognize Allie from when I saw her in mid-April to this past weekend. She looked a hair taller, stronger, and more explosive. She also looked much more confident and aggressive offensively. She was taking open jumpers without hesitation, looking to attack and draw defenders, and she was even feistier at the defensive end of the floor. Hopefully enough small colleges saw this version of Allie, because this style of play is sure to draw interest. In the meantime, I will be curious to how she fits into the rotation at Plainfield after transferring in from Monrovia this Summer.

Allie has family who has gone through the Plainfield program, so when she chose to attend Monrovia her first three years, there was a curiosity about it. Now, she is in a Quaker jersey as a Senior and should help to build depth in their backcourt. Allie is long and wiry, she’s fluid and somewhat smooth athletically, and she can handle the ball, run offense, and knock down an open jumper when set and in rhythm. At the other end of the floor, she does a nice job of using her length and playing position defense, which will go a long way in a disciplined Plainfield program.

Allie is still somewhat under the radar, but she is someone who seems to stand out each time I see her. She was good the first time I saw her in the Fall, she continued that with a nice rookie season at Monrovia (9.0p, 2.4r, 2.0a, 2.0s), and the couple of times I’ve seen her this Spring & Summer, she looks more like a poised veteran. She has length, a wiry-strong frame that should continue to get stronger, and she’s a fairly smooth and fluid athlete. She can make shots outside, get into the paint and finish, or create and find open teammates. She’s someone who a couple of years from now could be a small college priority recruit, if she continues building her game.
