The holiday season means it's time for the annual Winter rankings update. As it pertains to the Class of 2027, we have expanded the overall rankings and watch list from 125 total prospects to 150 total prospects, so there will likely be a handful of new names on each position list. Below is a look at the Power Forwards in 2027, with some analysis on a few who have stood out for one reason or another since our last update.

[player_tooltip player_id='612077' first='Audrey' last='Burton'], 2027, 6-1 PF/SF, Bloomington H.S. North
- Audrey continues to grow and might still have another inch or two left in her. She is nicely skilled at her height, as she can handle the ball a little in transition, even initiate the offense in the halfcourt when necessary. Offensively, she does a nice job in the mid-post, knocking down the 15-footer consistently, and defensively, she uses her length and height to affect shots, get her hands on passes, and collect rebounds consistently.

[player_tooltip player_id='751120' first='Shania' last='Curry'], 2027, 5-9 PF/SF, Ben Davis H.S.
- Shania has done a nice job this season for a rather young Ben Davis squad. She has been able to use her strength and athleticism to rebound and defend inside the arc. During the Spring & Summer of 2024, she showed flashes of being more of a wing prospect, and I really want to see if that's what she does more this coming grassroots season. But for the Lady Giants she has found a niche as more of a '4' for them.

[player_tooltip player_id='751050' first='Chesney' last='Jackson'], 2027, 6-0 PF, Charlestown H.S.
- Chesney started her career strong, averaging 8.9 points and 9.7 rebounds per game as a rookie last year. Throughout the Spring & Summer of 2024 she showed a veteran savvy to her game as well. She has a solid to strong frame, she's willing to be physical inside, but she also flashes a nice skillset in the mid-post and nice touch around the free throw line. This Spring, I am curious to see how much she has developed her game.

[player_tooltip player_id='932694' first='Aleah' last='Szymanski'], 2027, 5-11 PF, West Lafayette Harrison H.S.
- Aleah was a really nice addition to a solid 17U [program_tooltip program_id='712570' first='Indiana's' last='Best'] squad last Spring, and she flashed a lot of upside for the future. Now, as a Sophomore, she has been a productive addition to the Lady Raider lineup. She is extremely long, fluid and somewhat bouncy, plus she has a solid, versatile skillset in the mid-post. She plays hard, she's much more physical than she looks, and she does a lot of the "little things" to help her team win.
