gives Charlestown a physical and productive presence in the frontcourt. She plays hard around the basket, rebounds at a high level, and competes with toughness on both ends of the floor. Jackson understands how to use her strength effectively inside and continues improving as an offensive option in the paint.
One of her biggest strengths is her motor. She consistently battles for rebounds, runs the floor well, and creates second-chance opportunities. Defensively, she provides energy and physicality that can shift momentum for her team. June ball will be important for Jackson as she continues developing her overall offensive skill set while establishing herself as one of the more reliable forwards in the class. Her ability to impact winning through effort and interior play should stand out throughout the month.
For those unfamiliar with Chesney, she has had a strong 3-year career thus far for Charlestown, but she was specifically outstanding as a Junior in 2025-2026. Next up for her is playing at a higher level than she ever has this Spring & Summer against good competition that should allow her to display her abilities in front of coaches. She is strong, long, and athletic, she plays with an outstanding motor, and she is a relentless rebounder. She is great in the mid-post, where she has touch and the ability to attack, but she is working to be more comfortable around the perimeter as well.
Chesney has a good blend of size, length, and skill. She pushed the ball end to end for a score, came up with a steal, and grabbed plenty of rebounds. She can space the floor with her outside shooting, handles the ball well for he size, and added a block on the defensive end. A post player with perimeter skills, Chesney has high upside and impacts the game in a multitude of ways. (Featured Image)
She’s a bucket all day! Great box outs! Fundamentally checks all categories! Jackson has so many moves to choose from her pocket- will beat you from the top of the key with crossover, seals her defender on the block, great ball fakes, uses the glass, beautiful footwork!
Chesney looks to lead a strong 2027 group into action for the Pirates. She has broad shoulders and some strength, she’s a solid all-around athlete, plus she’s skilled in the mid-post and plays with a motor. She is one of the lesser-known prospects in the class, but I assure you, she can play a little. She averaged 8.9 points and 9.7 rebounds per game as a Freshman, and I would expect her to post a double-double average in her second year as a Varsity performer. This time, she could also be the offensive focal point for Charlestown.
