The holiday season means it's time for the annual Winter rankings update. As it pertains to the Class of 2027, we have expanded the overall rankings and watch list from 125 total prospects to 150 total prospects, so there will likely be a handful of new names on each position list. Below is a look at the Shooting Guards in 2027, with some analysis on a few who have stood out for one reason or another since our last update.

[player_tooltip player_id='949526' first='Olivia' last='Conklin'], 2027, 5-7 SG, Yorktown H.S.
- Olivia strikes me as a true gym rat, constantly in the gym working on her game. She has a solid to strong frame, some length, and she's a nice North/South athlete. She has proven to be a capable perimeter shooting threat for the Tigers, plus she can get downhill and absorb contact. She is a scorer, for sure, but I think as she continues to improve her handle and awareness, she could become more of a combo or point guard in time.

[player_tooltip player_id='834942' first='Davianna' last='Irons'], 2027, 5-8 SG, Fort Wayne Wayne H.S.
- Davianna is a talented, under-the-radar prospect who I think could be an even better collegian than high school player. She is long, wiry-strong, and athletic in all directions. She is best when she's able to get out and run in transition, or when she's able to get downhill and attack the basket in the halfcourt. As she continues to make parts of her game more consistent, she's someone who could continue to rise up the rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='751051' first='Claire' last='Larrison'], 2027, 5-10 SG, Greensburg H.S.
- Claire stepped in as a Freshman last year on a loaded Greensburg team and contributed right away. Now, she has become one of their stars. She is extremely long, fluidly athletic and almost smooth, plus she is skilled and versatile. She can handle it a little, she shoots a nice ball from the perimeter, but she can also attack and change directions through traffic. I am anxious to see what she can do this Spring & Summer in grassroots play.

[player_tooltip player_id='834965' first='Carlee' last='Schrader'], 2027, 5-9 SG, Northview H.S.
- Carlee is a really nice talent in the Western part of the state who not many people are familiar with. She is a nice, versatile athlete who can play a variety of roles on the floor. She is a capable ball-handler and can act as sort of a point forward at times, she is able to knock down open rhythm jumpers outside, but she's also strong and aggressive to the rim and can absorb contact. She has helped Northview to an 11-game winning streak.
