The holiday season means it's time for the annual Winter rankings update. As it pertains to the Class of 2027, we have expanded the overall rankings and watch list from 125 total prospects to 150 total prospects, so there will likely be a handful of new names on each position list. Below is a look at the Small Forwards in 2027, with some analysis on a few who have stood out for one reason or another since our last update.

[player_tooltip player_id='896317' first='Taylee' last='Fisher'], 2027, 5-9 SF, Carmel H.S.
- With Carmel struggling for interior players, Taylee has played out of position much of the season to help the team, and she has performed admirably for the Greyhounds. She is active, athletic, and she has done a nice job rebounding and defending inside the arc. Throughout the Spring & Summer, however, she is more of a playmaker from the perimeter, attacking the basket off the bounce and sitting down to defend guards & wings.

[player_tooltip player_id='751059' first='Eva' last='Scarbeary'], 2027, 5-9 SF, Homestead H.S.
- Like Fisher (above), Eva is also able to use her height and length to play a "bigger" position on a guard-heavy Spartans team. She is extremely long & wiry, active, but also skilled. She has played physically inside considering her frame, but she also has flashes where she is able to show her skill and touch away from the basket. I am anxious to see her again throughout the Spring & Summer to see how she will combine all parts of her game.

[player_tooltip player_id='644053' first='Miley' last='Sherrill'], 2027, 5-9 SF, Bedford North Lawrence H.S.
- Miley saw a lot of opportunity as a Freshman last year and took advantage of that, averaging 9.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. This season, minus several key 2024 graduates, she has now stepped into a leadership role for the Lady Stars. She is a tough-nosed, hard-working, physical wing prospect who can operate in the mid-post or around the perimeter effectively. Her versatility will be a key trait in her recruiting process.

[player_tooltip player_id='932696' first='Emma' last='Tinder'], 2027, 5-11 SF, Zionsville Community H.S.
- Last season, Emma only played in a handful of games for the Eagles. This year, however, she has really stepped up. She has grown, gotten stronger, and she's playing more of an inside-out role, affecting the game in a number of ways. She can knock down the open jumper outside, but she has shown the ability to play in the mid-post and go to the rim to get a basket. She has also been an effective rebounder at her position.
