<p>The final days of the 2025 regular high school season are winding down. The 1A sub-state divisions begin play Monday, February 24, after seeding is set this coming Wednesday. Ahead of the quarterfinal games enjoy this look at several key players to watch in the 12-team Canton-Galva 1A Division I sub-state. Five leagues are represented in the sub-state.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='634243' first='Arika' last='Feldman'], 6'1", SF, Little River, 2026 - The Fort Hays State commit has poured in 19 points per game while collecting 5 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 1.3 blocks. She also distributes 2.6 assists per game while sporting a 1.46 assists-to-turnover ratio. As one of five players averaging more than 30% from beyond the arc Feldman has sank 39 at a 33% clip. Her size, length, motor, versatility and skill set makes her one of the most difficult players in the class to match up with.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='766788' first='Adelynne' last='Strecker'], 5'4", PG, Little River, 2026 - Strecker is one of five players hitting three point shots at a greater than 30% clip, making just under 1 per game. Her bread and butter is as a playmaker. Dishing 3.8 assists per game, her 3.56 assists-to-turnovers ration places her among the most efficient ballhandlers in the state. Strecker is also averaging 6.5 points and 3.8 steals per game. Strecker is a high motor, two-way guard who works extremely well with Lady PGU running mate [player_tooltip player_id='634243' first='Arika' last='Feldman'].</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1195968' first='Lilly' last='Skalsky']</strong>, 5'10", PF, Olpe, 2026 - The Eagle forward whose versatility creates constant match up problems. She has a good frame, runs the floor well, and scores well off post moves and in the mid-range. Not only is she typically playing at the top of full court pressure she has handles to work effectively in the open court against pressure as well.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1195970' first='Kayla' last='Steinke']</strong>, 5'5", PG, Olpe, 2026 - Freeing up room for her teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1195968' first='Lilly' last='Skalsky'] to work off the ball Steinke leads the Eagle offense and spreads defenses with her perimeter shooting.</p>

She makes good decisions in scoring situations, finds shooters well and is a capable perimeter shooter. </p>

She has FIBA experience while also playing for her basketball club. Since stepping on the floor for the Blue Birds Scholle's length, versatility and scoring ability drive the team's competitiveness.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='616913' first='Jalynn' last='Weakley'], 5'11", PF, Madison/Hamilton, 2025 - Weakley is a active, athletic forward who gets after loose balls, can take a shot and is a threat to score in a wide variety of situations. She has good length and solid speed. Among the top returning all-state players.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1265356' first='Caylin' last='Luthi']</strong>, PG, Madison/Hamilton, 2026 - Luthi is a ballhandler who works well in traffic and can knock down the three ball. She uses her quick hands to generate turnovers, looking to get the team into transition.</p>
