Lani Small was putting on a show for basketball fans and the city of Albertville. She had 12 points and 7 rebounds at halftime. Lani was hitting big shots to get the crowd involved and was scoring while playing aggressively on the offensive glass. Even when she was double-teamed or triple-teamed the whole 2nd half, she finished with 20 points

[player_tooltip player_id='371482' first='Aaliyah' last='Blanchard'] didn't back down in the matchup against Albertville. Aaliyah looked like a senior in college with the chip she played with on her shoulder. The performance Aaliyah had was the definition of "win or go home." Aaliyah was getting to the hoop at will, crashing for every rebound, both offensive and defensive, with active hands and feet, and showing vocal and straight leadership. Aaliyah finished with 21 points.

Molly Morrison does the dirty work for her team she is a scrappy defender that gets a lot of charge calls and throws most guards off there game with her physicality.Molly ability to hedge and bait the offensive player into throwing passes that appears to be open is elite.

[player_tooltip player_id='858157' first='Maddie' last='Walter'] is doing [player_tooltip player_id='858157' first='Maddie' last='Walter'] things, finishing with a double-double, and what she did on the defensive end is something that just doesn't show up on the scoreboard. [player_tooltip player_id='858157' first='Maddie' last='Walter'] had to guard multiple assignments this game, and with her dynamic duo partner [player_tooltip player_id='1165325' first='Avery' last='Davis'] on fire, [player_tooltip player_id='858157' first='Maddie' last='Walter'] accepted the challenge to affect the game from a leading perspective and was the on-court coach for this Mountain Brook team. [player_tooltip player_id='858157' first='Maddie' last='Walter'] also attracted a lot of extra attention on offense, leading to her teammates getting a lot of wide-open shots. [player_tooltip player_id='858157' first='Maddie' last='Walter'] is an on-court coach; her presence alone affects the game, and the [player_tooltip player_id='858157' first='Maddie' last='Walter'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1165325' first='Avery' last='Davis'] tandem is a duo that has the ability to compete against any team in the 6A Final 4 remaining.

[player_tooltip player_id='1165325' first='Avery' last='Davis'] did not look like a freshman out there; she looked like a 4th-year senior. She had 25 points while also hitting 4 three-pointers, which was insane to watch live. [player_tooltip player_id='1165325' first='Avery' last='Davis'] was hitting tough shots that took the life out of Fort Payne fans. [player_tooltip player_id='1165325' first='Avery' last='Davis'] stepped up in a huge game of this magnitude, and to be a freshman and take over the way she did has me ready to see what she has in store against Chelsea in the Final 4. [player_tooltip player_id='1165325' first='Avery' last='Davis']'s ability to make shots when the game gets tough is a key reason why this Mountain Brook team can shock Alabama and bring home the school's first girls' 6A title in history.

Zimri Craig scored 18 points and had 7 steals. Her ball-handling ability and high motor were giving her Fort Payne squad life. Zimri Craig was a player that was 100% not on my radar before the game started, but she most definitely made a lot of people respect her game. Zimri Craig's coach allowed her to lead and get the matchups she wanted, and that's exactly what she did, attacking every play she could.
