Cayla has the perfect physique for the combo guard position. Her height and handles allow her to play strong on the wing. She can catch and go around taller opponents for strong finishes at the rim, and isn't afraid to pull-up for mid-range two pointers. She is strong enough to post up smaller defenders and capitalize with her back to the basket. Always look for Clark to crash the boards to get points from offensive rebounds. On the defensive end, Cayla has great instincts to find the ball whether guarding on the ball or sneaking into passing lanes for steals. She is really good at using her body to battle for rebounds where she can outlet to her guards or clear the ball herself in the open court. Clark will remain a strong presence for Overland through the playoffs and into her upper years.

Watching Carbajal play is fun, she is high energy on both ends of the court. Her skills keep her at the top of most stat categories for Northridge High, but even as a sophomore Sophia is a vocal leader for the squad. At the PF position, she is like magnet to the ball. She is always finding open spots in and around the paint to catch and finish, face up or with her back to the basket. Her unique frame makes her strong around the rim, efficiently pulling down offensive and defensive rebounds alike. Her ability to play inside and outside on defense, makes her a threat to any offense. She is quick enough to be in traps on wings and in the open court, but has the strength to battle taller players in the paint. Carbajal is definitely one to watch in the final weeks of her sophomore season.

Matoush is one of those players that just flat out works hard on both ends of the court. Starting on defense, she is long and and a bit lanky but doesn't give up any strength. She is quick and uses her long arms to disrupt many plays and easily grab rebounds. It is fun to watch her lock up dribblers and shooters on the wing, but she can also get stops in the paint. Rhya is just as versatile on the offensive end. She has the handles and the shooting range, inside and outside, to play in the SF/PF position for Legend High School. She's quick off the dribble and give and go and is also a reliable passer in the full and half court. Just a sophomore, Matoush is definitely well poised to lead Legend into the future.

Newble is the type of player that every team wants and needs. She keeps the energy high and does the grunt work on both ends. With wonderful handles and at her height, she has an advantage over shorter guards. Her court vision is excellent, seeing open players in both the open court and in half court sets. Gabrielle is great coming off screens, able to hit open jumpers from the two or the three. She also has the power to get to the hoop and finish among the taller post players. On defense, Newble is every where on the floor. She has quick hands and feet, getting stops on dribblers and shooters, and has the strength to help on post players in the paint. Horizon will continue to be a force behind this impactful sophomore.

Alex hasn't met a jumper, from any where on the court that she doesn't like. Her accurate shooting makes this sophomore is a key part of Denver South's offensive attack. Gehring has great handles, so her threat is not just in shots. She can go right around defenders and finish strong in the paint or find open teammates with her excellent vision and passing skills. She is solid on defense as well. You can find her at the top of defenses or presses, getting steals and generally creating chaos for dribblers and shooters. She is also great in help side, taking charges and doing her part to contain bigger defenders. Alex is a leader off the court as well with her voice and decision making that is an extension of the coach. Behind this sophomore, the South Ravens, will make a strong run in the second part of the season.
