Woodgrove put on a shooting clinic as a team against Broad Run. Woodgrove hit 18 threes, which tied their VHSL record they set last year. Valerie Blankenship had 29 points in a high-scoring game against Broad Run. As I said in the past, Olivia is this team's engine, and a lot of what they do offensively starts with her. Olivia had 20 in a win over South County, then had 21 in a win over Woodson. Georgia is a matchup nightmare and a player that I've seen a lot over the past few years. Georgia is a two-way star and has Robinson again looking like one of the best teams in NOVA and a state title contender. Aliya plays both guard positions well and can score the ball on three levels. She isn't going to blow away with speed, but she consistently gets to the rim and converts. She is a good spot-up shooter and moves the ball well. Sienna is a knockdown shooter and has a quick release. She is a nice off-guard to have and can score in bunches when she gets hot. Sienna had a big first quarter for Broad Run against Woodgrove and she was a big reason they were able to stay in this game even with Woodgrove's hot shooting. Sarah is a smart guard who does a great job getting others involved. She can score from all over the court and is a solid defender. Sarah won't wow you with speed or athleticism, but she plays in control and can set the pace of a game well.
