<p>The 2024-25 season for girls' high school basketball has been a success in regard to several players reaching new milestones for their respective careers. </p>

<p>Overall, eight players have reached 1,000 career points since the start of the season. Furthermore, there was one player who reached 2,000 points and one player who has reached 3,000 points. </p>

<p>Not only do the paths differentiate for each player, but the circumstances and opportunities being presented are also important to consider. The amount of playing time at the varsity level, and or limitations due to injury that may have required extensive time to recover. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Clay kicked-off the 2024-25 season with a bang by being the first member added to the 1,000 point-club. In the season opener at Sandia on Nov. 23, Clay had a team-high 18 points.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">The 5'9" shooting-guard and Air Force commit, is a physical mid-range slasher that can also stretch the floor. Moreover, Clay does a good job of earning trips to the charity-stripe thanks to her high-IQ and tremendous motor.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">For the majority of her career, Hargrove has typically set the table for others. However, the 5'6" point-guard is a scoring machine when in a rhythm. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Known as one of the better floor-spacing slashers in the class of 2025, Espinoza has made 168 three-pointers, connecting at a 30 percent clip for her career. Additionally, Espinoza has three-straight seasons with 45+ three-pointers made.</p>

<p>In 97 games played for Volcano, the 5'4" combo-guard has totaled 1098 points which averages out to a respectable 11.3 points per game.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">One of the top front-court players at the 5A level, Cunningham is an interior force with great hands and footwork. The six-foot forward is a deadly option in the pick'n'roll game but can also score in isolation down on the block.</p>

<p>Cunningham, the third Eagles player to reach the 1,000 point mark, did so in a 75-24 win vs Las Cruces on Jan. 14 (Week 8).</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Despite being just a sophomore, four-star recruit [player_tooltip player_id='839425' first='Harper' last='Dunn'] has already surpassed 1,000 career points for Corona/Vaughn. During Week 8 of the 2024-25 season, Dunn registered a very rare 30/20 game vs Logan en route to achieving the milestone. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">In 61 games played thus far, the 6'6" center is averaging a commanding 19.1 points per game while shooting 52 percent from the field.</p>

<p>To this point, Dunn has dominated the paint with her size and length as she can easily shoot over small defenders. That said, Dunn has improved her touch and now is confident enough in her jumper to step out and fire away from distance.</p>
