She was averaging 12ppg, 5rpg, and 5apg. She is a two-way threat and really impacted just about every category on the stat sheet. She has a high IQ for a freshman and a high skill set to go along with it. She is a really good on-ball defender and is highly disruptive and vocal. She is one of the top softball players in the nation in her class. Since joining Orange Beach on Dec. 26, she is averaging 16ppg and 11.5rpg. She has come in and changed the trajectory of the program. She is an elite athlete who is loaded with potential and has a PG IQ beyond her years. She plays the 1-5 for her squad and is productive at every position. There is a saying that to play it, you must be able to defend it, and she is good at defending all five positions. She doesn't just play all five positions to fill a spot but has the skills that each position demands. She is a stout, strong lefty who puts constant pressure on the rim. She scores from all levels, but right now, she is at her best, getting downhill. She has a nice hesi in her game that keeps defenders off balance, and with her skill set and scoring ability, she only needs a slight opening to blow by her defender. She scores it from the perimeter, but it is an area that is an opportunity for growth. She is quick with the rock in her hands and has really good burst in the open court and when getting downhill. Her athleticism makes up for a lot of areas of growth that she has, but when her skillset catches up to her athleticism, opponents will find it very difficult to contain her one-on-one. However, she brings tremendous energy and effort to the floor and makes her presence felt on the glass and on the defensive end of the floor. One thing that her coach raves about when it comes to Cariyanna is that she is extremely coachable and will do whatever it takes to win.
