<p>With the state tournaments looming and teams securing their spots for a chance to win a state title, I took a look into each district within each class to see who's headed to the state tournaments.</p>

<p>In the play-in game between the 8th and 9th seeds, Bellingham (8th seed) would beat Marysville-Pilchuck (9th seed), 54-20 to advance.</p>

<p>In the double elimination part of the bracket, top seed Lynden defeated 8th seeded Bellingham, 71-8 as [player_tooltip player_id='584239' first='Payton' last='Mills'] would continue to dominate for the Lions. Bellingham would go to the loser-out section of the bracket. 2nd seed Archbishop-Murphy defeated 7th seed Sehome, 55-27. [player_tooltip player_id='515021' first='Brooke' last='Blachly'] has been stepping up big for Archbishop-Murphy. Sehome would go to the loser-out section of the bracket. 3rd seed Burlington-Edison beat 6th seed Lakewood, 68-40 to advance. Lakewood would go to the loser-out section of the bracket. 4th seeded Squalicum won a close game against 5th seed Anacortes, 38-35. Anacortes would go to the loser-out section of the bracket.</p>

<p>In the semi-final part of the bracket, top seeded Lynden played 4th seeded Squalicum. The Lions would win easily, 61-27. Squalicum would go to the loser-out section of the bracket. 2nd seed Archbishop-Murphy defeated 3rd seed Burlington-Edison, 54-39. The Tigers would go to the loser-out section of the bracket.</p>

<p>In the loser-out section of the bracket, 5th seed Anacortes beat 8th seed Bellingham 46-23 to end the Bayhawks season. 6th seed Lakewood beat 7th seed Sehome, 49-43 to advance and end Sehome's season.</p>

<p>In the District 1 2A championship game, 1 seed Lynden played 2 seed Archbishop-Murphy. Lynden would win, 52-36 and advance to the state tournament. [player_tooltip player_id='584239' first='Payton' last='Mills'] would dominate, as she has all season for the Lions as they try to go back to back. Archbishop-Murphy would get one more chance in the loser out part of the bracket. </p>

<p>In the loser out section of the bracket, 3rd seed Burlington-Edison played 5th seed Anacortes. The Tigers would win, 53-28 and keep their season alive. Anacortes would see their season end. 4th seed Squalicum played 6th seed Lakewood. Squalicum would win, 58-27 and advance to survive another game. Lakewood see their season end.</p>

<p>After surviving the last round of the loser out section, Burlington-Edison played Squalicum for a chance to advance to play Archbishop-Murphy for the last spot in the state tournament for 2A District 1. </p>

<p>Burlington-Edison won the game, 50-31 while Squalicum had their season end. [player_tooltip player_id='660350' first='Claire' last='Bishop'] and [player_tooltip player_id='730311' first='Chesah' last='Holmes'] have been stepping up for the Tigers.</p>

<p>In the final game of the tournament, Archbishop-Murphy played Burlington-Edison for the last spot in the state tournament. Archbishop-Murphy would win, 74-47 and advance on with the Tigers, despite winning 20 games, had their season end.</p>
