2025 Rankings Final Update - Key Role Players

These girls are critical to their team's success. She doesn't need to score a lot of points to impact her team's success. She doesn't shy away from defending girls that are much taller and bigger than her. She utilizes her strength and leverages herself to keep great position defensively. She has great timing with blocking and contesting shots and is an excellent rebounder. She is great at rebounding the ball and starting the transition break herself.     Olivia is a workhorse and is super tough out on the floor. She is an incredible rebounder for her size. She is fourth in the EDC in rebounding at 10.3 rebounds per game. She also averages 3rd most offensive rebounds per game at 3 rebounds per game. She was an All-EDC selection last season and will have a good chance at making that team once again this season. She will be critical if North wants to make it back to the state tournament.     Katelyn is a long body who was key to Bismarck's early success. It looks like she unfortunately suffered an injury and the Demon's have felt her absence. When healthy, she is a viable scoring option at just over 8 points per game. She was able to secure around 4 rebounds per game and utilized her size to help Bismarck's 'rebound by committee' philosophy. I hope Katelyn is able to get healthy as she is a great player on a team with state tournament hopes.     Emma is one of the Bulldogs' best players.  She is really good on the offensive end.  She is good at driving baseline and knows when to pass to a teammate ‘I' cutting to the elbow and when to shoot a nice floater at the rim.  She has great vision in the half-court and has the ability to throw one handed passes right on target.  She can also step back and knock down the three.     Ashlyn is key to Century's success. She is a quick and athletic guard who plays with toughness. She moves really well defensively and has great instincts. She closes the gap well and is able to tie up the ball on opponent's drives. She crashes the offensive boards and keeps possessions alive. Her contributions don't stand out in the stat line, but her toughness and effort help lead the Patriots to victories.     Tali has had a great season for the Eagles. She is a defensive-minded player and is a great piece for Coach Veit. She is a great offensive rebounder, averaging 3 offensive rebounds per game. This allows extra possessions for her squad to score and can be big momentum changers. She is quick and athletic enough to switch onto smaller girls and play well defensively.     Josi is a big body who fills up Bottineau's 1-3-1 half-court zone defense.  She plays the position well, which requires high basketball IQ.  She must adjust her positioning depending on where the ball is on the floor, always staying between the ball and the basket.  She must plug up drives and rotate out on short corner girls.  She does a nice job of allowing her teammates to be aggressive in their trapping knowing that they have Josi to back them up at the rim.
