Two of the 5A's best are ready to face off in the championship game. Greene County Tech out of the 5A East and Farmington out of the 5A West will look to take home the title on March 14th at Bank OZK Arena in Hot Springs, Arkansas. These teams are loaded with talent, but here are a few of the names you should have your eye on.

Farmington Lady Cardinals

[player_tooltip player_id='1090920' first='Easton' last='McCollough'] is one of the best players in the state as just a freshman. She is one of the most impressive guards in the country, especially with her ability to shoot the ball and get going quickly.

McCollough started the tournament with a 36-point outing in round 1, then she posted 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals versus Benton in round 2.

McCollough is great at creating her shot, especially when she uses a screen. If the defense goes under the screen, she will not hesitate to pull it from beyond the arch, where she has solidified herself as one of the best shooters in the state. If the defense goes over, she can beat them off the dribble.

[player_tooltip player_id='1090920' first='Easton' last='McCollough'] is truly one of the best scorers Arkansas has to offer. She already has offers from just about every major Division I program in the country, and it is a matter of time before she gets some more.

[player_tooltip player_id='465497' first='Marin' last='Adams'] is one of the best facilitators in the 2025 class. She helps feed Farmington's lethal shooters and sets up their offensive-minded bigs.

Of course, Adams can create her own offense. She is coming off a game where she posted 12 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, and 1 block against Vilonia in the semis. Adams' best way to score is by attacking the basket. Once she sees a driving lane, there is not much the defense can do.

Adams is also a solid outside shooter. With all of the attention her teammates receive on defense, she is occasionally left uncontested, where she makes the defense pay.

[player_tooltip player_id='465497' first='Marin' last='Adams'] is the brain of this Lady Cardinal offense. Without her, everything falls apart.

[player_tooltip player_id='465590' first='Kaycee' last='McCumber'] is another Lady Cardinal coming off a great performance in the semi-final against Vilonia. It was the tightest game Farmington had been in during these playoffs so far, but McCumber allowed them to prevail.

McCumber scored 18 points in the win over the Lady Eagles. Though she was not against Vilonia, McCumber is typically a dominant rebounder. She had 26 points and 22 rebounds against Greenwood back in January, which was one of the best statlines by a player in Arkansas this year.

As those stats might suggest, McCumber is a force to be reckoned with in the paint. She has a nice touch around the basket, finishing with ease regardless of contact. If you do not put a body on her in the post, she will grab every rebound. On the offensive end, her boards are usually put right back in.

Greene County Tech has some size, but it will be a long game if they cannot find a way to contain [player_tooltip player_id='465590' first='Kaycee' last='McCumber'].

[player_tooltip player_id='465534' first='Zoey' last='Bershers'] is one of the best 3-point shooting bigs in this section of the United States. She is an automatic catch-and-shooter center who can make a significant impact on the glass as well.

Bershers was another player who contributed nicely to Farmington's semi-final victory. She had 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists.

The senior is a great pick-and-pop player, who is especially lethal shooting along the wings. Bershers can also impact the game down low, scoring through contact inside as well as boxing out her opponents to grab as many rebounds as she can.

If [player_tooltip player_id='465534' first='Zoey' last='Bershers'] gets going from beyond the arch, then the opposition can go ahead and wave a white flag.

[player_tooltip player_id='1186507' first='E'Marriha' last='Johnson'] moved from Missouri to Paragould, Arkansas in the offseason. In her first season wearing the green and white, she has been outstanding, helping take this team to the tournament.

Johnson started the playoffs on the right track with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals against Sheridan. In Greene County Tech's semi-final victory over Mountain Home, Johnson only scored 9, but she pulled down 11 rebounds. She also recorded 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.

Johnson is one of the better finishers coming out of the 5A classification. Her athleticism allows her to sky over defenders and her strength allows her to absorb any body blows that come her way.

[player_tooltip player_id='1186507' first='E'Marriha' last='Johnson'] has been turning heads during GCT's playoff run. Now in the championship, I do not think people will be able to stop talking about the Lady Eagles' newest superstar.

For whatever reason, Weslyn Burnside slipped through the cracks and missed out on the 2025 ranking. No matter though, as this senior forward has been making winning plays throughout the postseason.

Burnside averaged 9.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.1 steals during the regular season. In GCT's semi-final victory over Mountain Home, Burnside was right around those averages with 8 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block.

Burnside has proven to be very serviceable on both ends of the floor. She can shoot the ball well from the outside, hitting around 30% of her 3-pointers. She also shoots 71% from the free throw line. Besides her offense, Burnside is a high-IQ defender. She plays steady defense for 4 quarters, not allowing the opposition to have a good look or to be comfortable in their offense.

Weslyn Burnside is occasionally an unsung hero on this team. However, she could have the largest impact of all the Lady Eagles in the title game against Farmington.

[player_tooltip player_id='1049484' first='Jacey' last='Edrington'] shot a lights-out 37% from the 3-point line during the regular season. That type of offensive output has carried over into the postseason.

Edrington had 13 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block in the win over Mountain Home. She made an impact in literally every statistical category, but she is mostly known for her impact on the offensive end. There are not many open outside looks that she will not knock down.

The senior is also second on the team in assists per game with 2.5. If Edrington is not finding her open looks, she will make sure her teammates have opportunities to find their shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1049484' first='Jacey' last='Edrington'] is a great outside shooter who could be one of the more efficient offensive players in all of the championship games being played this coming weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='876049' first='Myiah' last='Butler'] is the best post defender in the 5A title game. Evidence has shown that this senior is someone you do not want to try to score on, and I imagine she will let Farmington know that on the 14th.

Butler averaged 7.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks per game during the regular season. She is one of the best shot-blockers in the state, using her long reach to swat shots that seem impossible to lay a finger on.

Butler is a defensive-minded center, but she can score in the paint efficiently. She shot 57% from the field this season, which is one of the best field goal percentages the state has seen this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='876049' first='Myiah' last='Butler'] is coming off a 5-point, 7-rebound, 1-steal, and 2-block performance against Mountain Home. This effective paint presence will look to repeat her earlier successes in this game where Farmington features 2 top-ranked bigs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060859' first='Sophia' last='Gonzalez'] has not been known as a scorer on this team. Though she averaged 7.2 points per game during the regular season, she was mostly known as a facilitator, leading the team with 3.2 assists a night. However, she has proven to be a solid all-around player in the postseason.

Gonzalez is coming off a semi-final performance where she had 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. In the previous round, she shocked the Beebe defense with a team-high 15 points, along with 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal.

Gonzalez is a major slashing threat. She uses her solid handles to get to a spot she wants, then she will attack any creases in the defense she sees. She will also run out in transition and cut to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060859' first='Sophia' last='Gonzalez'] has been the spark Greene County Tech has needed this postseason. If GCT is to have a chance against a loaded Farmington team, they need to get the same type of production they now come to expect from this junior point guard.
