Fire Finishes

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><br>I've been able to catch several games live over the past several weeks as the season is winding down with the state championships this weekend.  Let's take a look at some of the players who are having some strong finishes (and some aren't done yet!) to their seasons.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block player_id='910315' first='Syria' last='Johnson'] was the main ball handler for her team pushing the tempo and facilitating offensive plays.  She grabbed some big steals in the second half taking it the other direction for some points.  Her on ball defense was tough blocking the pass from getting to its destination and making sure her opponent didn't get by her.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- matchup against Stuart Cramer, but she was doing a nice job boxing out on both ends to grab rebounds.  She had no problem using ball fakes on her way to scoring at the rim.  She did well moving without the ball getting the opening and hitting her shot from around the perimeter.  She had several three point plays the old fashioned way.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block well defending the ball grabbing the steal picking the pocket of her opponents, and she took it the other direction for some fast break points.  She was exploding up the court with the steal, or she involved in the scoring from the jump making a nice pass into her post player for the bucket and attacking the lane herself for some tough points.  She found ways to get the ball from the in-bounder even with two opponents trying to guard her.  Her adjustments at the rim were special making sure the ball went in no matter what defenders were around her.  She hit the step back jumper extending the lead for her team.  She moves well to make adjustments and get the pass to her teammates.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block hitting shots on multiple levels from the block and out to the midrange making sure she scored over her opponents.  She was moving well finding ways to seal off her opponents, and she even scored through contact without any issues.  Her ability to extend plays on offense was prevalent with her offensive rebounds.  She had a nice shot block in the paint protecting the basket on defense.</p>
