Camri Hobbs Camri Hobbs 6'0" | SF Mallard Creek | 2026 State NC did well attacking the basket getting the baseline look making it for two.  She had a big block and steal taking it coast to coast for some of her own points showing her versatility handling business on the block and handling the ball with speed up the court.  She had a nice old fashioned three point play, too, using her footwork to get to the rim, and that footwork was so effective getting her points in the paint.

When Hobbs stepped into the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, it would be her final time in a Mallard Creek uniform. Hobbs saved some of her best for last in an entertaining matchup with Hoggard. Hobbs was two rebounds shy of a double-double but concluded her evening with 17 points and eight rebounds to life the Mavericks to the victory. Hobbs played the entire game – including all four minutes of overtime. She also came through for her team from the free throw line. Hobbs was responsible for eight of her team’s 11 tries from the charity stripe. She made six of said attempts. Hobbs also won Kay Yow Most Valuable Player honors. 

Camri Hobbs Camri Hobbs 6'0" | SF Mallard Creek | 2026 State NC was doing a nice job getting herself open at the free throw line being ready to shoot the ball or make the dish to the block finding her open teammate.  She does well rebounding even on offense using these to score some points.  She gets into position on the block, too, being able to go up high to catch the pass and go to work.

Camri Hobbs Camri Hobbs 6'0" | SF Mallard Creek | 2026 State NC showed off her range shooting the ball.  Not only can she shoot outside, but she was showing off her versatility on the inside knowing how to go to work getting the entry pass and scoring off the glass.  She did well serving as the high post dumping it down to her teammate for the bucket.

Camri Hobbs Camri Hobbs 6'0" | SF Mallard Creek | 2026 State NC (CP3 Flames 17U EYBL) was making some nice plays at the rim getting offensive rebounds or getting inside looking for the entry pass and going to work.  She can step outside the perimeter handling the ball, and she knows when to attack taking it all the way or make the pass.  She’s sneaky with her ability to slide behind her defenders and get the open look.

Camri Hobbs Camri Hobbs 6'0" | SF Mallard Creek | 2026 State NC had a tough matchup against Stuart Cramer, but she was doing a nice job boxing out on both ends to grab rebounds.  She had no problem using ball fakes on her way to scoring at the rim.  She did well moving without the ball getting the opening and hitting her shot from around the perimeter.  She had several three point plays the old fashioned way.

Hobbs is an exciting player to watch. She is a smooth operator who elevates the performance of her teammates. She excels at passing ahead in transition, attacking the paint to draw the defense and dish the ball, and she is also a strong defender. This season, Hobbs led the Bulldogs in points per game, rebounds per game, steals per game, blocked shots, and averaged nearly 3 assists per contest. Her ability to take over a game in any phase makes her an outstanding player on the court.

Camri Hobbs Camri Hobbs 6'0" | SF Mallard Creek | 2026 State NC just makes plays with the ball in her hands.  She knows how to find the openings with the ball changing her direction quickly to lose her defenders.  She doesn’t back down from contact attacking the basket even with hands in her face, and she always keeps her eyes peeled for the next best play when she’s bringing the ball up the court.  She plays well at the top of her team’s defense using her length to cause some problems.

It was not that long ago that Hobbs wore the uniform of 1 of 1 Prep before she opted to trade its red for the maroon and gold of 3A Jay M. Robinson. As her career has blossomed, it has already led to her attracting a litany of interest. Hobbs has garnered Division I offers from Appalachian State, Pitt, George Washington and Western Carolina. Hobbs was a major reason why the Bulldogs completed its most successful season since 2012-13 when Jay M. Robinson got in the win column on 23 occasions. Hobbs’ team finished with a 19-8 mark in 2023-24 (12-4 in 3A South Piedmont play) and she averaged 21.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.9 steals in those 27 contests.

Hobbs has terrific touch from the three. She can score in bunches for her team. She also has tremendous court vision when she is leading the break. She is a team-player who is always looking for the next best pass. Hobbs is an elite talent who can impact a game in a variety of ways. She can rebound with aggressiveness or defend with pride. Hobbs can also create space in the midrange for her jump shot. Hobbs has already earned several Division 1 offers.
