Post Players Rising the 2025 Rankings

Check out this pack of posts rising through the ranks in this final update of the 2025 class rankings. Each played big roles for their squads and put together outstanding senior seasons.    Dalan is one of the tallest players in her class, and she shows up big on the defensive end as a high-level rim protector. And although her ability to send shots back makes a big impression on players driving in, her mere presence and wingspan in the middle of their zone is also a big deterrent. She does a great job crashing the boards too, whether she's battling inside or coming in from the perimeter, and she's able to have that huge impact inside without getting herself in foul trouble. At the Sun Dome for the 2A state tournament, she racked up 52 rebounds and 24 blocks over four games while committing just four fouls.     Gildersleeve-Stiles is one of the most intelligent, technically sound posts in her class. You can tell by the fluidity and precision of her moves down low that she's in full control on the blocks. She has excellent stamina and knows the importance of getting down the floor fast to establish position and wear her defender down. She's been a staple at Snohomish and has anchored that team with her motor and reliability.     The Monroe post and Seattle [program_tooltip program_id='716198' first='[program_tooltip program_id='714514' first='[program_tooltip program_id='713132' first='Pacific' last=''] commit is a strong player who excels at pinning her defender low and taking advantage of ill-advised fronts to seal her defender for passes over the top. She has a good feel for space right off the catch and is tough to move once she's established. Yates also has a smooth jumper and shows great feet to get set quickly off the catch or picking up off the bounce to drain shots away from the basket.     Holmes put up 19.4 points per game this season, and she's a player who makes the most of her touches. She's another post who does an excellent job establishing low position and is able to use her quickness to slip around defenders by the hoop and get quick post-ups. She's a steady finisher with either hand and really attacks the ball when going for rebounds.     Shumate is a physical presence on the court. She's aggressive to the ball, initiates contact in every aspect of the game, and asserts herself around the paint, using her strength to move defenders and get position under the hoop. She has a great motor on the defensive end, working hard to be in position, and was a standout at the 1A tournament in the Sun Dome, leading the Lyncs in points per game (13.0) and rebounds (6.7).
