With the latest update of the 2026 ranking, there was a lot of movement, especially with the 101 new additions. As always though, there were players moving up in the rankings. Here were the highest risers in this latest update:

[player_tooltip player_id='1060878' first='Elicia' last='Shepherd'] was the highest riser in the latest update of the 2026 class. She jumped from #78 to #29, a wild ranking adjustment! Of course, she earned this position.

Shepherd has been a double-double threat throughout the season. She may only be listed at 5'8", but her athleticism allows her to grab every board in her sights. On the offensive end, she can put back her teammates' misses. She is an efficient finisher, using a soft touch around the basket.

Shepherd is also a great defender. She is a shot-blocking threat, as her long arms and athleticism make her a force in the paint. The junior is also quick along the perimeter, as she can break up passes and strip ball-handlers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060878' first='Elicia' last='Shepherd'] will be one of the top players in this class to watch next season. I also believe she will receive more offers this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060836' first='Karstyn' last='Scrivner'] jumped from #54 to #20 with this latest ranking update thanks to her incredible performances during the regular season as well as her impressive offer sheet.

Scrivner had 40 points in a game against Lakeside back in January, which was not long after posting 30 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 steals against Mills. Only 9 games into the 2026 season, she hit 1,000 career points, which is not a surprise to Scrapperette fans.

Scrivner is an excellent 3-level scorer. 3-point, mid-range, in the paint, it is all too easy for her.

Throw in solid handles and [player_tooltip player_id='1060836' first='Karstyn' last='Scrivner'] is a tough player to stop. At this rate, it is possible that she hits 2,000 career points in just under 2 seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060845' first='Livi' last='Fosness'] jumped from #53 to #32, primarily because of her play in the postseason, where she has put the state on notice.

Against Little Rock Christian in the 5A playoffs, Fosness put her name firmly on the recruiting map after scoring 21 points and grabbing 26 rebounds. That rebounding mark is one of the best single-game performances on the boards in Arkansas high school girls' basketball history. Her 26 boards also became a new state postseason record.

Fosness also had 11 points and 15 rebounds in the quarterfinals against Nettleton. She is just so hard to keep off the glass. Her energy and effort lasts for all 4 quarters and it is infectious. Fosness muscles her way down low, boxes out the opposition, and skies for every board.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060845' first='Livi' last='Fosness'] might be the best rebounder in the state of Arkansas. If not in the entire state, then she is definitely the best rebounder in the 2026 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1092578' first='Ashlyn' last='Cossey'] is another great center in this 2026 class who saw their ranking position rise. She moved from #90 to #54 and it is obvious as to why.

Cossey has helped Greers Ferry Westside make it to the 1A state championship game, as well as helping the Lady Eagles to a perfect conference record and one of the best overall records in the state.

Cossey is a double-double machine who uses her length to outrebound the opposition. On offense, she is one of the more consistent post scorers in the class. She has a soft touch around the rim and uses excellent footwork to step around the defense. On the other end, she is Westside's anchor, rejecting multiple shots a game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1092578' first='Ashlyn' last='Cossey'] has been a matchup nightmare this season and I imagine she will be that again in the championship game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060862' first='Kristyn' last='Cooper'] moved up from #51 to #34 in the ranking. She is one of the hardest workers in this class and I can tell that she has made improvements in her game throughout the season. That work ethic bumped her up in this ranking and I doubt she will stop rising.

One of the most impressive parts of Cooper's game is how scrappy she is. She may only be 5'3", but she plays with more heart than everyone else on the floor. I tip my hat to whoever taught her how to box out because that skill served her well when playing against taller players this season.

If Cooper is guarding you, showing the ball is not a good idea, as she will swipe it and use an amazing burst of speed to score at the other end. With this junior, speed kills, as there is not a soul in the state who can catch up to her on the fastbreak.

In a half court offense setting, Cooper is one of the better mid-range shooters in 5A, as she is automatic with the pull-up jumper. She can stretch her range out to the 3-point line, or she can burn defenders on her way to the hoop.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060862' first='Kristyn' last='Cooper'] makes a case to crack the top 25, and I think it is appalling that she only has a couple of offers.

The 2026 class is deep and multiple players continue to improve their games. I do not doubt that these five players will continue to rise in the rankings, so colleges need to go ahead and offer them before it is too late.
