After graduating their starting point guard and post off last year's team, the Tommies had high expectations this season.

However, in addition to having two new starters and bench players in the team's rotation, Thompson also decided to shuffle the positions of a couple of returning starters. The team knew these changes might slow their start to the season, but they also knew that they would benefit them in the long term. The Tommies certainly didn't have a perfect regular season; however, they were battle tested and coming together as a team, helping them to play their best basketball in March.

Both [player_tooltip player_id='342171' first='Addison' last='Sage'] and [player_tooltip player_id='550491' first='Kya' last='Hurst'] reached the 1,000 career points milestone this season!

[player_tooltip player_id='342171' first='Addison' last='Sage'] once again proved to be one of the top players in the state with the ability to score at a high percentage from anywhere, while showing an improved defensive prowess. [player_tooltip player_id='550491' first='Kya' last='Hurst'] continued to be one of the best two-way players in the state by locking down top scoring threats on defense and improving upon her offensive efficiency. [player_tooltip player_id='1050947' first='Claire' last='Kolling'] developed into one of Thompson's top two-way players by using her quickness to both get into good scoring positions and defend opponents' top scoring threats. [player_tooltip player_id='1050945' first='Jordyn' last='Tozer'] used her strength and athleticism to be a top rebounder while consistently stretching her shooting range out to the 3-point line. [player_tooltip player_id='956238' first='Jailin' last='Avdem'] made a name for herself in the final third of the season by not only controlling the paint on defense, but by becoming a scoring threat around the basket. [player_tooltip player_id='1050952' first='Andie' last='Schwab'] used her athleticism to become an outstanding defender and showed the ability to consistently get to the rim offensively. [player_tooltip player_id='1050943' first='Jocelyn' last='Oster'] brings a lot of energy on both sides of the court and gained valuable experience this year, which coupled with her potential should benefit her next season. [player_tooltip player_id='1050950' first='Abigail' last='Olson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1050946' first='Norah' last='Goulet'] are two other players who did good things for the Tommies this season when their numbers were called.

Although lacking in size once again this season, the Tommies continued to play strong team defense and put themselves in good rebounding position making up for that lack of height. Offensively, their continued movement makes them tough to defend while their decision making continued to improve all season long.

Good luck to the Tommies in the offseason!
