Top Performers in Region Semis: A Night of Thrilling Basketball

Whew! What a night. I mean, gymnasium were crazy as our Volspecs (volunteer prospects) were in full effect. There were tons of close ball games that went down to the wire throughout the state. I mean, talk about a refuse-to-lose mentality; a lot of teams battled back from adversity to capture a win.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>During this time of the year, coaching, talent, and all the secret ingredients come into play. You have to value each and every possession and capitalize on opportunities. The margin of error is so little. That's when you see good teams take advantage of things. Finished the game with 16pts, 8 rebs, 4 assists, and 4 blocks. Her fingerprints were all over this win as she wouldn't allow for her team to be denied of the opportunity for advancement. She was clutch down the stretch, hitting buckets. I am so impressed with her body of work, as she is one of the most consistent players in the state. She competes from tip to the final whistle and leaves it all out on the floor. Last night, she finished with 22, and her temperament and the way she just battled was phenomenal. Doesn't matter from where; she shoots it with confidence and consistency, which her ball club feeds off of. Last night, she finished with 25 points, leading her ball club as they advance. The Northern Kentucky signee has had such a tremendous high school career. She plays the game the right way, with a lot of heart and hustle. Dropped 20 points last night as she helped her ball club beat a talented Blackman squad. She was just too much as she was a dead-eye shooter from the arc. She was consistent on both ends of the court, slowing down transition breaks and being at the right place at the right time. Her game has grown throughout her career as she has been in pressurized situations. You can see how confident she is by the way she carries herself. She is a game-changer who competes for all 32. She brings the energy and effort nightly and is a true floor general as she knows how and when to feed the hot hand. She, too gets buckets, but leading her team and establishing a defensive presence are two of her qualities that you just can't teach. This kid has been solid all year, and I expect her to continue to carry the tradition of being a solid guard from the Bartlett program.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
