Hannah still had a solid game, even though she struggled with her jump shot. She drove the ball well in the second half, and Hannah got to the line a lot, which helped her get back in rhythm after a tough second quarter. Hannah competed on defense and had 8 steals to go with her 21 points.

With [player_tooltip player_id='826958' first='Hannah' last='Coffman'] struggling a bit in the first half, Kayleigh Hemp kept Buffalo Gap in it. Kayleigh hit a few threes that didn't touch the rim, and she battled inside. Along with Coffman, Kayleigh was the only other Buffalo Gap player who had any offensive impact. Kayleigh finished with 21 points.

This game was competitive throughout, but one of the reasons I felt George Wythe ended up winning was their advantage from three. They made 4 more threes, and in a lower-scoring game that you win by 6, 12 points goes a very long way. Makaylan Luttrell had a great day shooting the three, especially in the first half. She went a perfect 3/3 from three in the first and made 4 overall. She finished with 13 points.

Another difference in the game was Buffalo Gap's offense came from two people. George Wythe got a lot of contributions from different people. One of them was Alana Malavolti. Alana was terrific on both ends for Wythe. A lot of different players guarded [player_tooltip player_id='826958' first='Hannah' last='Coffman'], but Alana was outstanding when she was assigned to her. She knocked down a few threes and was tied with a team-high 13 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='985809' first='Alyssa' last='Stanford'] was undoubtedly the player of the day in Heritages' win over Salem. Alyssa dominated the glass, and she hit a number of mid-ranges. She hit a big three late in the 3rd to stretch Heritage's lead from 7 to 10. She also had an and 1 dagger after Salem got back into the game late. Alyssa had 23 points and 15 rebounds to give Heritage their first state title.
