This article will recognize a few guards who currently sit on the outside looking in on the top 25 of the 2027 rankings. However, they may very well find their way into the top 25 after the next rankings update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1090332' first='Anniston' last='Moore'] was one of the higher stock risers in this class after the latest ranking update. This was primarily because of her play in the 6A playoffs.

Bentonville had a good team, but I do not think many people expected them to go as far as they did. This sophomore was part of the reason why. She had 15 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals in the first round against Bryant, then she logged 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals versus Springdale, who was seen as a clear-cut championship favorite. She also had 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists against the eventual 6A state champs.

Moore can do a little bit of everything on offense. When she is handling the ball up top and using a screen, she will dial up a triple if her defender goes under. If she has a lane to the basket but is quickly cut off by the help-side defense, then she can shoot the floater.

[player_tooltip player_id='1090332' first='Anniston' last='Moore'] saw a steady increase in playing time during the regular season thanks to her persistent hustle and determination. She made a name for herself in the postseason and I think she is a strong candidate for a breakout junior season.

Mills has a loaded guard lineup. If the opposition stops one guard, another one takes over. [player_tooltip player_id='1090318' first='Makenzie' last='King'] has taken over when her team has needed it throughout the year.

In round 1 of the regionals, King was tied for a team-high 13 points. She also pulled down 8 rebounds and recorded 1 steal. She also had a 20-point performance in an emotional contest against Fountain Lake in early February.

King does not give up on plays. She fights for loose balls and gives her team extra possessions. King is also a threat to get going from beyond the arch. She can knock down shots off the catch or take a dribble in and nail a jumper closer in.

[player_tooltip player_id='1090318' first='Makenzie' last='King'] has been able to contribute whenever she has the opportunity throughout the season. By the time she is a senior, she will be one of the best players in 4A.

[player_tooltip player_id='1091201' first='Alyssa' last='McGuire'] first made headlines when she dropped 40 points on Armorel in late January. Now she will be entering next season with an all-state nomination and I doubt she will be #32 for long.

Outside of Greers Ferry Westside and Earle, Marked Tree had the best shot at the 1A title. They ultimately fell short, but McGuire gave them a great chance at competing against those heavyweights.

McGuire emerged as a premiere outside shooting threat, helping stretch out the offense for Marked Tree. Against Rural Special in the postseason, she had 5 triples in the first half. Of course, this allowed driving lanes to open up and she often took advantage of that, especially if defenders were late at closing out on her.

[player_tooltip player_id='1091201' first='Alyssa' last='McGuire'] has already shown that she can take over games with her scoring and I think she could be the best scorer in 1A by the time she is a senior. She might even be a player who enters the top 15 of the 2027 class in the near future.

Manila has several guards who are underrated but have tremendous potential. One of them is [player_tooltip player_id='1093319' first='Bailey' last='Wilson'], whose quickness stands out amongst other guards in 3A.

As I alluded to just now, Wilson is a quick guard who can beat defenders off the dribble. Her first step is one of the best in the 2027 class, and when you pair that with her solid handles, she is very tough to stop.

The sophomore had large responsibilities on this Manila team this past season. She was a big-shot taker who was not afraid to let it fly from deep, but she also facilitated the offense. She was tasked with setting teammates up and she excelled at running the point.

[player_tooltip player_id='1093319' first='Bailey' last='Wilson'] is still not a player that a lot of people know about. I imagine that before long, the whole state will not be able to stop talking about her.

[player_tooltip player_id='1093342' first='Chezney' last='Stone'] was impressive in her sophomore season, showcasing a high IQ and a solid outside shooting ability. Her solid play has been noticed by hometown Central Baptist College, which has already sent her an offer.

Stone is an excellent 3-point shooter who is automatic off the catch. She only attempts good shots from outside, making sure that her team gets the highest percentage shot, even if she is the one shooting. If a defender closes out too hard, then she can drive by them and get to the cup.

Something that most young players do not know how to do is how to make the extra pass. She does this extremely well, making the right play every time down the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1093342' first='Chezney' last='Stone'] is someone every team needs: a player who helps move the ball, shoots well from outside, and limits turnovers.

Frankly, there are so many guards who could easily make their way into the top 25, but these 5 have not been talked about enough.

This article will recognize a few guards who currently sit on the outside looking in on the top 25 of the 2027 rankings. However, they may very well find their way into the top 25 after the next rankings update.
