6A will look a little different his coming year as Fremont has moved to 5A and so has Pleasant Grove. Cedar Valley makes a jump to 6A as they oddly join Region 2 with Westlake as they will drive past every Region 3 school to go play in Region 2. Let's dive into 6A this Spring.

Team to Beat

Last season all year the 3 teams that were talked about all year were Fremont, Copper Hills and Syracuse and in the end it was Lone Peak and their experience that was the story. Right now most players are playing for their respective club teams but it is safe to say that Lone Peak will start with the #1 spot in 6A. They return everyone from last years run and they will add more young pieces.

[player_tooltip player_id='796745' first='Kennedy' last='Woolston'] has been playing well for Mountain West Premier 17U on the EYBL circuit and although last year she led by making sure the ball was moving, this coming season I could see her being more aggressive in asserting herself as well. Woolston is a legit D1 prospect at the 2.

[player_tooltip player_id='796473' first='Zuri' last='Nordstrom'], Madaline Pope and [player_tooltip player_id='673099' first='Tatiana' last='Harness'] are all playing club and doing well. [player_tooltip player_id='873282' first='Charli' last='Warner'] will be joined by her sister who will be an incoming freshman and a player that is talented as [player_tooltip player_id='952625' first='Peyton' last='Warner'] will make her high school debut along with [player_tooltip player_id='873278' first='Jordan' last='Moeaki'].

The player that could likely be their game changer will be [player_tooltip player_id='849040' first='Lave' last='Holdcraft'] as she is the workhorse and do it all and anything to rebound, get a steal and make something happen. You can include huni Folau in that conversation as well.

Lone Peak will be tough!

The Pack

Westlake had a stellar season last year and they are another team that returns everyone and the player that has been impressive this spring has been [player_tooltip player_id='861992' first='Ella' last='Seymore'], she has next level length and she s a slasher. Look for her to pick up JUCO offers. The backcourt is in good hands with Janice Sikander and [player_tooltip player_id='796479' first='Avery' last='Thompson'] who both have dynamic games.

Mountain Ridge is a very interesting team. They start a new era with a new coach but also bring back everyone from last season that contributed. [player_tooltip player_id='790536' first='Kya' last='Newton'] was their top scorer but they have other pieces like [player_tooltip player_id='796847' first='Jessica' last='Maynard'], [player_tooltip player_id='805788' first='Kaylee' last='Montgomery'] and [player_tooltip player_id='866703' first='Jada' last='Jangard']. They have some size in the perimeter and will be a tough team to beat.

Davis will bring back [player_tooltip player_id='796844' first='T'Maea' last='Eteuati'] who is one of the best PG's in the state and when she is healthy she could break down any defense. [player_tooltip player_id='827408' first='Kate' last='Willard'] is another player on the team that could also be impactful, even more than last season. Chloe Peery could also be a player that stands out.

Syracuse will be another team that brings back two players that can really change the game. [player_tooltip player_id='796823' first='Maylee' last='Anderson'] can really shoot the ball from outside and [player_tooltip player_id='903189' first='Rachel' last='McBride'] is a force in the paint blocking shots and scoring near the rim. This team is dangerous and they play physical basketball.

Sleeper Teams

Cedar Valley will be a team to watch. They are one of the few teams that went toe to toe with Copper Hills last season and they have a plethora of guards that they can use. [player_tooltip player_id='827410' first='Savannah' last='Klodt'] has talent, [player_tooltip player_id='796818' first='Ellie' last='Larson'], [player_tooltip player_id='796815' first='Hadley' last='Whiting'] and [player_tooltip player_id='935878' first='Daisy' last='Thayne'] do as well. This team will be tough because tehir guards are big and can do it all.

Copper Hills is a team that will not be dismissed. They will fill a roster with [player_tooltip player_id='952652' first='Riley' last='Greenwood'], [player_tooltip player_id='1206007' first='Abby' last='Bush'], [player_tooltip player_id='922382' first='Ella' last='Creer'] and [player_tooltip player_id='796851' first='Sela' last='Ama'] and that is a good team. They will not sneak up on anyone but they will be good.

6A Spring Rankings

#1 Lone Peak

#2 Westlake

#3 Mountain Ridge

#4 Syracuse

#5 Cedar Valley

#6 Davis

#7 Copper Hills

#8 Bingham

#9 Lehi

#10 Skyridge

#11 Riverton

#12 Corner Canyon

#13 American Fork

#14 Weber

#15 Farmington

#16 Herriman

#17 Layton
