Here are my some of my live notes that were taken while watching back some of the contests from this past weekend at AIA Clash On The Courts event in Waukee. These notes are just a quicker way to write and briefly explain the style of play that each of these players possess at this given time.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

[player_tooltip player_id='1234617' first='Avery' last='Drew'] - SG/PG - [program_tooltip program_id='712709' first='Nebraska' last='Attack'] GUAA

"[player_tooltip player_id='1234617' first='Avery' last='Drew'] put her name on the map the past weekend as she competed in Waukee. Drew put on a clinic scoring the basketball over the three days in Iowa. She was hitting jumpers from all over the court off the catch and dribble, she was getting to the bucket for AND1 attempts consistently, and she was also facilitating to open teammates when she was overplayed. Most people knew the big ballers that were in attendance at this event but Drew was one that many weren't accounting for and she really showed out as someone to keep an eye on moving forward out of Nebraska."

[player_tooltip player_id='317337' first='Addison' last='Bjorn'] - CG/SG - [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] EYBL

"First time I've seen Bjorn play in over a year in person and she did not disappoint. This is a quick thinking guard with a lot of size. She is a skilled scorer in all three offensive levels of the game and she makes some impressive plays on defense as well. With her natural reach, she is usually one to get a few blocks each game near the bucket. All in all, good showing to start the AAU season for Bjorn."

[player_tooltip player_id='777605' first='Amaya' last='Manuel'] - PG - [program_tooltip program_id='712694' first='Missouri' last='Phenom'] EYBL

"One of my favorite players of the weekend was [player_tooltip player_id='777605' first='Amaya' last='Manuel'] of [program_tooltip program_id='712694' first='Missouri' last='Phenom'] EYBL. Manuel is a shifty ball handler, a crafty creator, an elite passer, a bulldog once she gets down hill, and she seems to LOVE contact at the bucket. When you have an aggressive but calculated player like this, you give them the ball, tell them to go to work, and you watch the magic unfold in front of your eyes. That's what we have here with Manuel. If she continues to get better over-time, who knows where she might take things."

Ashlee Wilson - SG - [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] EYBL

"This is first time most people have seen 2030 Ashlee Wilson but it won't be the last. Let me tell you, there were some AMAZING players at this event in all grade levels but the middle school talent showed out over most. It showed everyone that the 2029-2031 Classes are going to be a PROBLEM once they get to high school. Wilson for example, can do it all from a guard standpoint and she has some noteworthy size for her age. She understands almost all situations you can put her in and she is very consistent at making things happen when she needs to. Even as she plays up a few grade levels on 15U EYBL. The future is extremely bright with this one and I can't wait to see what she turns into. That goes without saying."

Grace Lucero-Miner - PG/SG - [program_tooltip program_id='712709' first='Nebraska' last='Attack'] UAA

"Grace Lucero-Miner is one of the best middle school SG's that I have ever seen. I guess you could say that Lucero-Miner is a mix between a PG and a true SG. Her shooting ability is just so seasoned, consistent, and impressive that if you are her coach, you're looking for her to have a deep shot attempt almost every other possession. This past weekend was no different. Grace was hitting 3-pointer after 3-pointer, five feet behind the line. If you happen to be someone that isn't familiar with her game, this might shocking to see but for us who are used to it, it's nothing new.

[player_tooltip player_id='897256' first='Emerson' last='Johnson'] - CG - [program_tooltip program_id='712709' first='Nebraska' last='Attack'] UAA

"Everybody has been pretty impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='897256' first='Emerson' last='Johnson'] of [program_tooltip program_id='712709' first='Nebraska' last='Attack'] GUAA up until this point in her career and I think that trend will continue for four more years at least. Johnson, a 5'10 CG, that can stretch the floor and she can take it download to handle her personal matchup with authority. This weekend Johnson was attacking off the dribble from the outside for a smooth finish at the rim, she was dragging her defender away from the basket and then taking them in for easier attempts, and she was also producing off the ball as a screener and cutter. Again, a lot of talented middle schoolers there this weekend and Johnson stood out as one of the best for her age group."

Gaby Domercant - SG/PG - M14 3SSB

"One of the most impressive performances I saw this weekend was out of SG/PG -Gaby Domercant's of M14 3SSB. Domercant was unstoppable in her first contest on Saturday. She started things off hot by hitting some outside three's and she never looked back. From there she got to the bucket when the defense would jump at her shooting, she was helping others score at high rate off of her ability to find her teammates when things opened up, and she made her mark defensively as well with steals, tips, and deflections. This is the second weekend in a row I have seen Domercant and each time, I've been thoroughly impressed.

[player_tooltip player_id='502331' first='Hadley' last='Walsh'] - CG - [program_tooltip program_id='715717' first='Nebraska' last='Supreme'] 17U

"Whoever scoops up [player_tooltip player_id='502331' first='Hadley' last='Walsh'] of [program_tooltip program_id='715717' first='Nebraska' last='Supreme'] 17U and Pender High School is getting a STEAL. Walsh is not only a great player, she has true size and strength to pair along with it. Throughout high school ball she seems more of a true guard but with her AAU team, she moves more like a SF/CG within her team's offense with how much she ball screens and moves off of that. She uses her natural height advantage to move around the floor to multiple positions and that shows how versatile she can be within any type of system. I'm not sure who will land Walsh but like I said, whoever does, is getting maybe the steal of the 2026 Class."
