We saw brief moments last Winter out of Ellie Friessen of Hinton High School. Friessen, the 6'0 CG, was only a Freshman for this group and whenever she could she tried to make a play on the floor. She was featured in 15 games while only working inside the three point line a majority of the time. Offensively, she didn't take any shot behind the arc this Winter and her rebounding numbers kept up with her scoring numbers near the rim. Defensively, it was much of the same. Solid defense and decent rebound as a whole. Friessen is going to be featured much more moving forward within Hinton's program so we will be able to see war she can really do. They are going to graduate a few of their key contributors so there will be chances for opportunities.

Kinzley Farley is in a situation where she could play any position on the floor for her high school program right now. If you look at just a recap of her season during the Winter, she was doing it all. She rebounded and defended the post with her height and athletic ability at 5'10, she shot off the wing and score at steady rates with that ability, she brought the ball down the court at times off of rebounding while pushing the pace of place, and overall she showed that she has a full arsenal on both sides of the ball. The situation that Farley is in will be one of in-between positions. She can play 1-5 right now against this competition level but in the future we will truly see where she settles in at. Will she be more of a Combo Forward or will things smooth out and she becomes a pure Combo Guard at 5'11/6'0? I'm not sure but that's why you have to love the process. As long as she worries about what she can control, it'll be exciting to see what she turns out like as a Senior in a few years.

AK35 led her team in the painted area's last season at Regina as their enforcer. She did a good job during the year at holding her position and controlling what she could while people were cutting past her. She communicated well when screens and other things of that nature were on the way, she wasn't afraid to mix it up with ANYONE in her way physically, and she always gave maximum effort on both ends of the floor - never taking a play off. Klein will be back once again this upcoming season for one more run for her Senior campaign. With her returning and the return of their future D1 PG, there is always a chance it could end up being a special season if they play their cards correctly.

You could say that Hadyen Scott is a little overshadowed on her Pleasant Valley High School team but she plays some convincing basketball in between the blocks with avid coordination and smooth moves. Don't get me wrong, she can also attack from the outside and play on the perimeter to spread out the defense at the same time. It just depends on what is being asked of her. We haven't seen Scott in a contest yet where she has to play ample minutes against other collegiate level opponents. When we do, we will know more about what she can bring to the table when the stakes are at its highest.

The best way to describe Isabelle Foglesong's play on the court is composed and in-control. There is never a time were she is too sped up or seems out of sorts. Instead, she takes what the opponent gives her without forcing any silly mistakes a majority of the time. Last Winter at Colfax Foglesong did the little things well on both sides of the ball. She averaged decent numbers as a whole and was a main part of her team's success in most outings. This AAU season I'm looking to see if she can take it up a notch. She has proven herself in some tight games throughout her career and now it's time to do it on the road against a higher level of competition.
