<p>For the second consecutive season the Prep Girls Hoops Ohio girls basketball Player of the Year goes to a young lady from a small school in rural Darke County, Ohio.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='369041' first='Taylee' last='Woodbury'], the senior guard from Mississinawa Valley High School has been voted the 2024-25 Ohio Player of the Year by the readers of Prep Girls Hoops in our Readers Choice poll that closed on Saturday. She also won the award last year from the fans.</p>

<p>Woodbury finished the season with better stats than she had as a junior, averaging 15.8 points per game on the season as the Blackhawks made another trip to the regionals, this time advancing to the regional finals where they lost to Fort Loramie. Woodbury also averaged 5 rebounds and 8 assists per game, which led the state of Ohio. She also defended well, averaging 5 steals per.game.</p>

<p>Taylee was a player who was the consummate floor leader for the Blackhawks, with the ability to score from anywhere including her "Logo" 3s all the way in to the rim. Her court vision is elite and she had the knack of finding her teammates for the easy score, which was indicated by her assist total this season. </p>

<p>Woodbury is undecided where she will continue her basketball career at the next level. She was also recently awarded the PGH Ohio Division 7 co-Player of the Year.</p>

<p>Woodbury collected 1,250 votes over the weeks timeframe with [player_tooltip player_id='520305' first='Sienna' last='Allen'], who won the D5 state title finishing a close second with 1,119 votes. State champion [player_tooltip player_id='636710' first='Kendall' last='Sury'] was third overall with 312 votes. Urbana senior [player_tooltip player_id='319068' first='Peyton' last='Mounce'] was fourth with 54 votes and Purcell Marian senior Dee Alexander was fifth with 39 votes. <strong>Reminder this award was totally voted on by the fans.</strong></p>
