The initial 2025 NCAA "live" period of April 25th-27th has come and gone. There were any number of tournaments across the country which took place, however many of the Indiana grassroots clubs sent their teams to The Clash in Hamilton, Ohio, to the Spooky Nook at Champion Mill location. After reviewing all of my notes from the weekend, I wanted to touch base on a handful of ladies who I haven't mentioned yet who stood out in the 2027 class when I was able to see them.

[player_tooltip player_id='834926' first='Averi' last='Amstutz'], 2027, 5-7 PG, East Noble H.S.
- So far, Averi has been great this Spring, continuing her strong play through two years of high school thus far. The best thing this Spring is that she looks a little taller, much stronger, but maintains her athleticism and even gets places somewhat easier now. She has good ball skill, the ability to run offense or create a little off the drive, plus she is an effective shooter/scorer who can get shots at each of the three levels. She can defend "bigger" than she is, plus she does a lot of the "little things" for her team.

[player_tooltip player_id='880492' first='Charlotte' last='Caviness'], 2027, 5-5 CG, Rushville Consolidated H.S.
- This weekend was my first time seeing Charlotte at length, and she is an intriguing younger prospect. She has nice length, a fluid and quick athleticism to her game, plus she plays with some versatility. Initially, I saw her off the ball, and she had a nice-looking shot that should become more consistent with added strength. Then, she slid over and handled the ball more, created off the dribble, and ran offense as well. Additionally, I like her use of her length and quickness when defending.

[player_tooltip player_id='834939' first='Kayla' last='Herron'], 2027, 5-6 PG, Culver Academy
- I've seen Kayla a little here and there over the last couple of years, but this was a great opportunity to see her against better talent for a full game. She has an athletic frame, solid strength at her height, plus she has a nice shiftiness to her. She likes to play off the dribble and create space for shots/scores, or to get downhill and find teammates. She has some touch from the perimeter but she's better getting into the heart of the defense. She's also a solid on-ball defender herself.

[player_tooltip player_id='756240' first='Malika' last='Jenkins'], 2027, 5-8 CG, Merrillville H.S.
- Malika is a really nice talent who is still a bit under the radar. She has an athletic frame, nice length, and she moves well in most directions. She can handle it and run offense like a traditional point guard, she can attack the basket and change directions in traffic, plus she has the vision to find open teammates. Malika has some touch around the perimeter and the potential to be a terrific defender. She still needs to play with a little more urgency, but her potential is very high.

[player_tooltip player_id='743641' first='Kaylin' last='Kathmann'], 2027, 5-8 SG, Batesville H.S.
- Kaylin is a Southeast Indiana talent who will likely draw a lot more interest as she continues to be seen on the grassroots circuit. She is extremely long, wiry, and fluid/smooth. She has some ball skill and can handle well enough to initiate the offense or even get to the rim to score it. She has a little touch outside as well. Her versatility, fluidity, and athletic potential are her best traits, as she can play a number of roles offensively or defend several different positions at the other end of the floor.
