After last weekend's event, I have a few 17U standouts to highlight. It may take a few days, but there is plenty of time to talk about all the standouts I saw and preview the April live period at the end of the month.

[player_tooltip player_id='751281' first='Rita' last='Kuepper']

Few kids in the same class of skill that Kuepper has in the state. The way Kuepper handles the ball in traffic is mesmerizing. It's hard to get the ball off her, and she can get to any spot she wants on the floor and rarely sprints to those spots. Kuepper does an excellent job using her dribble to move defenders and get wherever the Hartford native wants. She can score at all three levels and makes the game look simple at times. At her best, defenses struggle to contain her.

[player_tooltip player_id='751266' first='Kylee' last='Sias-Chaney']

The Wisconsin Lutheran guard made a few impressive plays this past weekend. She was active on the defensive end and generated transition opportunities for her team. I vividly remember one spin finish around the basket in a one-on-one setting, leading to an and-one for Sias-Chaney. I thought she had a solid showing this weekend and has grown in confidence over the last few years since I've known her.

[player_tooltip player_id='1227459' first='Savanna' last='Miller']

The Port Washington guard played her best game to end her weekend in New Berlin. Miller was confident when the ball got to her, and she made shots. In the second half of that last game, it felt like she wasn't thinking about what to do with the ball. The [program_tooltip program_id='713043' first='Wisconsin' last='Impact'] guard was reacting to the game around her, and other people noticed that. That version of Miller is someone who coaches at the next level will like, and I hope she keeps that level of confidence throughout the AAU season.

[player_tooltip player_id='896930' first='Destiny' last='Webster']

I thought Webster grew into her role well last season. The Notre Dame guard is the type of kid who hurts defenses the most while not being a primary focal point of defenses. She's a solid ball handler who attacked the rim at times, made perimeter shots, and defended well on the perimeter. Webster is a high-level glue kid. Coaches probably find it challenging to take off the floor for long stretches. I thought she looked solid this weekend each time I saw her.
