On Saturday, April 19th, I drove to Powers Catholic High School for the [program_tooltip program_id='715753' first='Michigan' last='Mystics'] "Get Ready" tournament. This was a perfect opportunity to see Mystics' best 2026-2028 grades. A few clubs that I haven't had the chance to see yet this spring also attended, making it a productive day for evaluation. I bounced around between the aux and main gym throughout the day, trying to see portions of games from all the teams. Many college coaches were present at the facility, and because there are prospects on every Mystics team that can help a college program at some level, I always enjoy seeing their teams compete. Here are several girls who were ripping the nets from 3-point distance during my time watching their games on Saturday.

Kendyl fired 3-point shots at will with deadly accuracy on her home court Saturday for Mystics 2026-P24. She found nylon on moon shots from the logo with five triples in the first half of a game--she couldn't miss. Kendyl converted free throws, finished layups, fired strong skip passes across the court to open teammates, and forced turnovers on defense. She continued her long-distance attack with another logo bomb in the next game and made it clear to all exactly why she was the SVL MVP during the high school season.

Brooklyn was the go-to scorer for Goonies 17U at Mystics Get Ready, and she converted several threes throughout the day in multiple games. Brooklyn was in the zone against Mystics Jackson, slashing to the rim and draining perimeter shots. She used a hesitation dribble to score a floater with a burst to the basket and finished a swift euro-step layup. Brooklyn swished a pure wing 3 off the hop and drained three more in the game. She gave the team an edge with her tenacity on defense, ripping the ball out for a steal. Brooklyn swiped the ball away again and raced down the court to score a full-speed and one layup off two. She drove fearlessly into contact in the paint, caused fouls, and knocked down free throws.

Avery isn't the girl you want to leave open on the perimeter. You're playing with fire when you do, and teams got burned at Mystics Get Ready on Saturday. She has a balanced stance, quick release, and a confident wrist snapping follow-through. Avery is very good at adjusting her feet when she catches passes to be in position to shoot accurately. She drained three corner triples that helped Mystics 2027 P24 secure a hard-fought win vs. a phenomenal Mystics 2028-S40 team and actively deflected passes on defense.

Rennie was SCAA First-Team All-Conference and averaged 20.2 points per game for Jackson Christian as a junior. Seeing her briefly at Mystics Get Ready made it clear why she put up big numbers. Rennie keeps her feet balanced and shoots with sound mechanics. She swished three pure triples for Mystics Jackson 17U in one game on Saturday. Rennie's shots looked like they were dropped from the ceiling, going right through the net.

Leyana was very aggressive on defense for [program_tooltip program_id='712354' first='1' last='Nation'] at the Mystics Get Ready tourney on Saturday, and she provided a spark with her outside shooting. Leyana drained a confident corner three and added two more for good measure in the same half. Leyana swatted a layup and made ball-handlers uncomfortable with her all-out pressure.
