This weekend I had the task of remotely evaluating our PGH Legacy Region Kick Off in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This weekend was jam packed with action from the 12U level all the way to the 17U level, competing in multiple gyms around the city of Milwaukee.

Throughout those few days, I have been taking live-notes on prospects and really diving into what makes each of those players tick. In this article we cover some of those notes.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

[player_tooltip player_id='874548' first='Carmyn' last='Koehler'] - 2029 - [program_tooltip program_id='713038' first='Wisconsin' last='Blaze'] 2029

"Koehler competes with a lot of swagger. She walks the walk and talks the talk. Early on she has registered a few steals, buckets in transition, rebounds, and assists in her efforts. You can tell she has a lot of confidence in herself and that confidence pays off. She knows where to go, when and that helps her find success on both sides of the basketball. This isn't necessarily someone that is going to kill you in scoring every game but just overall in general. She makes smart and calculated risks, which usually leads to production more times than not."

[player_tooltip player_id='875044' first='Ellie' last='Gosa'] - 2030 - [program_tooltip program_id='713328' first='Team' last='1848'] 13U Crowe

"Gosa, a 5'6 CG, has been hitting shots from deep off the catch, getting the others around her in their spots if they are messed up on offense, and she has been communicating at a notable rate. Half the battle of a young prospect is getting them to speak to the others around them but that's not the case with Gosa. She seems to be a natural in that category, along with some others. She might not be the tallest prospect on the floor at all times but she is someone that lets her presence be known, whenever those opportunities present themselves."

Brooklyn Buttalla - 2030 - [program_tooltip program_id='715518' first='24:UP' last=''] 2030 Kelsey

"[player_tooltip player_id='1217241' first='Brooklyn' last='Butalla'] of [program_tooltip program_id='715518' first='24:UP' last=''] 2030 Kelsey has started off her game HOT with a nice opposite corner three pointer off of a BLOB play. Butalla was the first one to get a bucket in this contest and she never looked back. After hitting that shot, she immediately went back on defense, looking to make another play. This demonstrates that Butalla isn't only worrying in the scoring department but how she plays overall in general."

Jensyn Storhoff - 2026 - Air Minnesota 17U

"If you aren't familiar with Stofhoff's game, you should be. This is a prospect that has been on the PGH Circuit for a few years now and every time that I see her compete, she impresses. Storhoff is a Combo Guard with how well she can move between the 1 and 2 position. She is smooth at running her team's offense and distributing but she is more-so a natural bucket. When it comes to the best part of her game, it's probably the fact that she can score at all three offensive levels at the drop of a hat but she doesn't settle for that. If the shot is rushed or doesn't feel right, she will hold onto it and make something else happen. This weekend, Storhoff was the leader in scoring for her team in most contests and that stood out as noticeable to anyone watching from afar.

Maddy Brown - 2029 - [program_tooltip program_id='713145' first='Wisconsin' last='Blizzard'] 14U Kuranda

"Maddie Brown has demonstrated throughout her 11:30 AM contest that she can bring up the ball as a PG and make some steady progress anyone matching up against her. She doesn't seem to ever get stopped or cut off too much while she handles and that speaks to her craftiness. I'd like to also add - she doesn't seem like the type to be a natural scorer but more-so, facilitator. Which isn't a bad thing by any means."

[player_tooltip player_id='1227908' first='Hope' last='Luangsaeng'] - 2031 - [program_tooltip program_id='713043' first='Wisconsin' last='Impact'] 13U Ourada

"Luangsaeng is a versatile player in multiple facets of the game. She is someone that understands how to attack her defender and so she uses her mental games to get ahead. Whether that is catching and pump fake into the dribble drive for a finish/foul or catching and creating off the dribble for others. Either way, Luangsaeng is looking very coordinated and very hungry in her first showing this morning."

Kendal Cushman - 2028 - Team Iowa 15U

"If you want to be the best version of yourself, you have to stay self-motivated. How ever that may be is up to you but someone that puts in HOURS of countless work in her offseason is Kendal Cushman of Team Iowa 15U. Cushman stays in the gym in her down time, making thousand upon thousand of shots from all over the floor. This shooting ability and hard work really came to the forefront while watching Cushman this weekend. She made some big plays down the stretch to help her team seal some W's and that was noteworthy."
