Expert Analysis

Brady Peterson

Prep Girls Hoops Lead Scout

The Oshkosh native is a smaller guard who has an excellent motor, especially on defense. Koehler isn’t a player who looks to score every time down the floor. However, she brings an edge to the court and will help earn her team extra possessions. She defends desperately, and I mean that in the best way possible.

Carmyn caught my attention with her multidimensional impact on the court for Wisconsin Blaze Inferno 15U on Sunday at the Great Lakes Kickoff. She crashed the glass to secure an offensive rebound and scored the putback. Carmyn made smart reads off the ball, cut backdoor, and finished efficiently at the rim off one and two feet. Carmyn understood where the soft spots in the defense were and beat the full-court press, switching hands confidently with her dribble. She’s a smart defender and drops into the passing lanes to pick off passes.
