There is still some time before the Legacy Region Kick-Off tomorrow night, so I'd like to continue highlighting some kids to know heading into the event, and I probably will tomorrow before I head to OAW.

The 2025 spring and summer will clarify the Hartford wing/forward's future. The athletic and physical tools are there for Hennes. For her, it's a matter of putting everything together. The 6'0 Playground Elite prospect will show flashes of a kid that would excite college coaches, and there will be times when she may confuse them. If you're patient with her and allow time to acclimate to her environment, you could find yourself with a productive two-way kid at the scholarship level.

The Milton guard was integral to the Red Hawks' 2024-25 season. The 5'5 guard was an energetic two-way kid in the Badger-Large and the main focus of the Red Hawks offense. Buttchen had games where she was the difference between a win and a loss, like against Beaver Dam at Milton's gym. Buttchen could be a kid who turns some heads this summer. Buttchen's motor, ability to score, and defensive capabilities at the point of attack will intrigue people.

A name people may not be super familiar with is this Platteville native. The 2024-25 season was excellent for Richard in the SWC. Not only did Richard lead the conference in assists, she was among the state leaders. The 5'10 guard has some things to work on on the offensive end of the floor, but one thing she doesn't have to worry about is her ability to pass. Watching her orchestrate her team's offense like the sophomore did when I saw her against Mount Horeb makes her unique. She can start the offense from anywhere on the floor because she can physically move her defenders to the free-throw line and start her team's set from there if she wants.

Brand, a small-town kid from Crivitz, Wisconsin, was a productive kid in Northeast Wisconsin. Like most small-school kids with talent, she had to do a little of everything to keep her team competitive, and she did that well. Her well-rounded game is something I'm eager to see in person. I may not get to see her in the high school season, but weekends like this are valuable for people who don't have the time to see her in her hometown.
