Marshfield junior [player_tooltip player_id='1224015' first='Morgan' last='Ainsworth'] is a transfer from Alaska and was named to the 4A All-State Second Team this season. The 5-foot-10 guard has excellent lateral movement and change of speed on the dribble and is an athletic finisher from all three levels. Ainsworth squares her shoulders and maintains a focused shooting form to score on the off-balanced fadeaway or runner. She has a quick first step and gets downhill after a solid hesitation, between, or behind the back. She reads the floor and can sling a one-handed pass inside, drive and dish, or blow by and kick out for the assist. Ainsworth averaged 20 points and 5 assists per game, helped the Pirates win the Sky Em Conference title, and was named All-Conference Player of the Year in her junior season. She starts at No. 11 in her Prep Girls Hoops Oregon rankings debut. Ainsworth has multiple D1 offers.
