One of the top up-and-coming AAU squads in Arkansas is Icon 17U. Let us take a look at some of the solid talent they have to work with this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1092588' first='Precious' last='Powell']- One of the more accomplished players on this Icon squad is [player_tooltip player_id='1092588' first='Precious' last='Powell'], who earned all-state, all-conference, and all-tournament this past season for EStem. These postseason awards were no surprise based on the regular season she had. One of her better performances with the Lady Mets was against Little Rock Hall in February, where she did just about everything one could do on the statsheet. She recorded 16 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 8 steals, and 1 block. Powell connected on 2 triples in that game and scored well inside. The incoming senior also proved that she is pest on the defensive end, stripping ball-handlers and tipping passes away for all 32 minutes.

Kaliyah Sanders (Mills 2026 5'3" G)- Kaliyah Sanders is one of many guards on this Mills team who can contribute every time they are on the floor. Sanders proved she deserved play time by diving after loose balls, applying hounding on-ball defensive pressure, and making open shots along the perimeter. She has a chance to continue to prove why she needs more minutes with Team Icon this spring and summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1245040' first='Maycen' last='Eads'] (Lonoke 2026 5'9" G)- After spending some time at Cabot, Eads made the move to Lonoke, and it has already proven to be a solid decision. She was named all-conference with the Lady Jackrabbits this past season and showed off her solid outside shooting ability. During a tough loss against Barton, Eads' performance seemed like the lone positive takeaway from that game, especially since she finished with 18 points on 4 made threes. The Lady Bears did not have a solution for Eads' outside shooting, and she can provide that floor spacing to this Icon squad.

Mariah Jackson (Fort Smith Northside 2027 5'6" G)- Mariah Jackson only played in 12 games for the reigning 6A state champs, but she did find ways to contribute throughout her sophomore season. In just 6.3 minutes of playing time per game, she averaged 1.4 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 0.6 steals. Though she did not make a 3-pointer this past year, she was not shy about letting it fly from deep, and I would imagine that part of her game will catch up when she receives more minutes. Jackson did shoot 42% from inside the arc, though, showing that she is a solid finisher. The incoming junior also made some noise on the offensive glass, averaging 0.4 second-chance boards a night in her limited opportunities. Northside's roster was loaded with seniors, and with them gone, Mariah Jackson should be able to have more of a role in 2025-26.

[player_tooltip player_id='1090334' first='Lauren' last='Brewster']- One of the top point guards in the 6A classification during the second half of this past season was [player_tooltip player_id='1090334' first='Lauren' last='Brewster']. She made all of the right plays, whether it was knocking down a timely 3-pointer, hitting her teammate with a pass which led to a clutch basket, or coming up with a steal to deflate the opposition's confidence. Brewster is already sporting some offers to play at the next level, and I would imagine she will receive more after her play with Team Icon.

[player_tooltip player_id='1093310' first='Simya' last='Magsby']- EStem had a successful season in 2024-25, and [player_tooltip player_id='1093310' first='Simya' last='Magsby'] was partially responsible for this. She earned all-conference and all-state selections this past season. Magsby makes plays all over the court. In a conference matchup against Fountain Lake, she recorded 19 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocks, one of her best statlines of the year. She is hard to stop when she has the ball in the post, playing bully-ball by knocking defenders around and going up strong for the shot. The Lady Mets star rebounds well, but she is known for her ability on the defensive end as she can protect the rim and intercept passes. She could be a breakout star this coming year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1091165' first='Mi'Raiyh' last='Wilson']- Wilson was a solid role player with the Conway Lady Wampus Cats this past season. She was one of the first players off the bench and made her mark as a reliable defender and rebounder. Wilson was not tasked with a lot of scoring, but she can finish well around the basket. She will have a larger role this next season for the top-ranked Wampus Cats, and she will display that first with Team Icon.

Janiyah Black (Conway 2026 5'10" F/C)- Janiyah Black was buried in the Lady Wampus Cat depth chart this past season, but expect her to find more minutes this season after several seniors graduated. One of the best games that Black played this past year was against Little Rock Southwest, where she displayed great ability on the defensive end. She recorded 4 steals, all from Conway's devastating full-court press. Black also added 2 assists, showing some playmaking ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='1101014' first='Kendillie' last='Warren']- Mills University Studies in Little Rock had such a deep team this past season, and most, if not all, of their primary contributors will be returning in 2025-26. [player_tooltip player_id='1101014' first='Kendillie' last='Warren'] had a few chances to show what she could do, particularly on the defensive end. In a conference matchup versus Bauxite, Warren put up 4 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. She also contributed more on the offensive side in an early-season game against Hampton, where she posted 10 points. Warren can hit shots from inside and out, proving that she can be one of the better two-way players in the 4A classification as a senior next year.
