There is plenty of youth talent around the state with potential. Every year, players get into high school who will help their high school and club programs compete at a high level. I'll highlight a few kids who could help their teams win games.

Kettle Moraine Lutheran has been guard-oriented ever since I've been around. However, Mayer could bring something to their program that nobody else has in the last five years. Mayer is a physical 5'11 post with solid touch around the rim. Her development could create a new dynamic for the Chargers over the next few seasons, where I expect they'll compete for regional titles at worst each season.

Mikayla McQuenney

Last season was a transitional season for Monona Grove. A new coach, a significant senior class out the door, and a new feel around the program. New wasn't bad for them, but it was different. McQueeney was a part of that new core for the Silver Eagles. I thought she played a solid role in their backcourt and made plays here and there. She could wind up being a kid who becomes a steady presence on both ends of the floor in the minutes she plays and helps the Silver Eagles climb back up the Badger-Large standings.

The Milton Red Hawks had a program redefining year in the 24-25 season. Vind played spot minutes in competitive games for the Red Hawks and made some plays against the top teams in the Badger-Large. She's a rangey 5-9 kid who made some plays on the defensive end and showed some flashes on the offensive end. However, her length will be helpful for a Milton group that will likely be among the most guard-oriented groups in the competitive Badger-Large. She has room to grow and is worth keeping up with the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='888427' first='Macy' last='Karl']

Slinger had an inconsistent offensive group, but Karl was the player who stood out the most for the Owls. The 2028 graduate is a physical kid who handled the high school game well and was probably the kid opposing teams had on the top of their scouting report. Karl is a skilled multi-level scorer who could create her shot. As she matures and learns how to attack defenses more consistently, she'll become one of the more effective players in the North Shore Conference. There is plenty to be excited about in her game if you're a Slinger person.
