Clash of the Clubs: Check in Guard play 2027

Clash of the Clubs was loaded with lot of teams and even better lot of talented players. Let's check in on 6 guards in the Class 2027 from the past weekend. Quick shot off the catch and shoot. Shooter that can get hot in a hurry from the 3. Excels in a 5 out set tallowing her to cut and move without the ball. Good hands on the cut that goes up strong absorbing the contact for the And 1 finishes. On the low block she is very crafty in getting the space needed to finish the scoring opportunities. Good reads off the block when double kicking the ball to the opposite wing to a shooter     A high percentage shooting guard from the 3-point line that also finds ways to fill up the stat sheet. Nice footwork on the catch, hands are ready and no wasted motion in her shot. Showed a good step back square up footwork coming from the paint to the 3-point line. A shooting guard that moves without the ball finding herself open on the back side many times for the easy bucket. As mentioned, she can fill up the stat sheet. Good rebounder that slides her way around the mixed boxout. Aggressive reads on the next passing lanes leading to turnovers for layups     There are shooting guard and point guards. Jayda is a scoring guard as she has many ways to score points in her game. A very good shooting guard off the catch that can knock down the 3. One of those guards that is dangerous off the dribble keeping the defends guessing as she has the footwork to pull up or blow by for the downhill attack. Impressive is the footwork coming off the bounce. It is in rhythm with a good lift and shot at top of the shot. Strong sense of where the ball is coming off the rim gives her the ability to clean up many missed shots. 2027 is fun to watch cause of the many ways she scores.     A Complete Guard (CG) that brings a lot to the any team she plays floor. A shooter that has feet down and squared up into her shot on the catch. The best part of her game is when she is creating off the dribble. A dose of spin moves and change of direction to get by the first defender already reading the next level of defense. This is where the complete guard comes into play. She can look to finish or kick whichever option is the best. An open floor transition guard that has eyes up the floor looking for teammates to fill the lanes.   Tough defender that works to keep chest in front of ball handler. Showed good help rotation that allowed teammates to pressure up outside 20 feet.     Great size guard that has good enough handles to bring the ball down the floor as the point guard. The height she brings allows her to see the floor against the press. Her physical strength gives her the advantage against the small guards. Paige is at her best with ball in hand attacking the bucket. A good behind the back or spin move helps create the space needed to shoot at a high percentage in the mid-range. Showed a nice post up turned off the block. 2027 that stock should rise during the summer and upcoming school season.     A great size combo guard that scores in just about every way possible. Good outside shooter that is ready on the catch. Nice rhythm shooter off the dibble and ball screen makes her a must go over the top type of player. Fills the lane on the breaks with good hands ready to catch and finish the layup. The size is a advantage against small guards as she possesses some post skills on the block. Moves without the ball reading the defense ready for the back door cuts. Excellent rebounding guard that could give you a double-double every night.
