After the May Live Period, the upcoming viewing period is the scholastic viewing period. More teams have signed up for this season's Summer Slam event than last year, which the WBCA/WIAA has put on for the previous few years. Leading up to Summer Slam, I'd like to highlight players I haven't for various reasons, so let's get that started.

[player_tooltip player_id='882565' first='Lexi' last='Gruman']

The Random Lake guard missed her sophomore season due to a knee injury. Gruman had a solid first season at Random Lake and was among the more promising guards in her class before her injury. Sometimes, it's easy to forget what you don't see, and people haven't seen Gruman play since she got injured. However, Gruman is a skilled guard who can attack the basket off the dribble and knock down shots on the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1162239' first='Tori' last='Justmann']

Unfortunately, most of the better players at Marshall focused on club volleyball last season. Justmann is a talented guard who is among the better shot-creators in the Madison area, but people may not realize that because of how much of an uphill battle the Cardinals fought last season. Justmann is a kid worth seeing if coaches can make the trip to a Marshall game next season.

Toria Devoe

Devoe may not play AAU ball in the spring and summer, but she was among the most productive backcourt kids in the 24-25 season. Devoe is an excellent shooter who can knock down perimeter shots in bunches. The 2026 graduate also does a solid job initiating her team's offense and getting everyone involved. She won't be someone who gets discussed much at AAU events, but Devoe will make a program ecstatic when she shows up in their building and plays at the level I know she can play. She makes the offensive end of the floor look easy.

[player_tooltip player_id='890055' first='Jayda' last='King']

The Racine St. Cat's wing is a do-it-all kid for the Angels. She's a young player but brings a level of physicality to the game that you don't often see in younger kids. However, King is also a skilled kid who can operate with the ball in her hands. She was a high-usage kid in her first high school season and handled that responsibility well. King plays her AAU ball in Illinois with the Midwest Elite Meanstreets 15U EYBL program. We won't see her much in Wisconsin, but she's playing high-level basketball for a reason.
