Expert Analysis
Brady Peterson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
King is among the most versatile prospects in her class, and she can do a little of everything on the floor. King was solid in the skills portion, but showed how valuable she can be in the 1v1 and 5v5 portions. She used her size well in the 1v1 work. Her size also made her a hard kid to stop when she had an advantage as an offensive player. She also worked well against mismatches in the 5v5 portion.

The best part about King’s game is that she can be whatever a coach needs. Offensively, she has shown she can handle the ball and create off the dribble when needed, but is also willing to be a physical post player around the basket. There is plenty of room for growth, but she can fit numerous roles, and the flexibility she brings alone makes her someone to see at least once for regional programs.

The Racine native is a frontcourt prospect who can bring some versatility on both ends of the floor. King is a physical player who can excel around the basket, finish around the rim, rebound on both ends of the floor, and be a presence in the paint. She has also been comfortable with the ball in her hands and can make plays.

Jayda for three to start the game! She can go left or right on the block. She is a machine when it comes to rebounding! She is built like a Ford truck- tough! You’re going to feel her presence all game!

Jayda is your prototypical stretch 4 type that showed not only a great move set, around the basket, but also the ability to step out and make mid to long-range jumpers. Strong around the basket with the strength to finish through contact and draw fouls. Easy to see why she was a 16 and 10 player last season!

Sometimes, kids from around the border with Minnesota get forgotten because they play AAU ball in the metro or never play at the population centers in Wisconsin for high school basketball. Southeast Wisconsin, down by Racine and Kenosha, has that same view but with Illinois. King may be among the most versatile kids in her 2028 class. The 5’11 Wing/Forward played inside out for the Angels this season and found success. She may not have been as efficient as you’d hope, which is nitpicky, but that’ll work itself out. I loved her motor, and she still has room to improve.

The Racine St. Catherine’s forward has been an excellent addition to the Angels. She’s been a routine double-double kid. Her physicality around the basket has added another layer of toughness to a team that was already one that played with a chip on their shoulder, and I love it. King has the tools to be among the top players in St. Cat’s Conference over the next few seasons, so keep an eye on them.
