Select Events held a Mother's Day weekend event at the Park School in Baltimore that attracted a bunch of regional and local teams. I had a chance to catch some of the action over the two days and took some notes on some of the lead guards that impressed me.

This was my second time viewing Tianna this season. I'm a fan. She has solid fundamentals and can make every pass a point guard needs to make. She is a shot maker from all three levels and she always plays with poise, keeping her head up and not allowing defenders to speed her up. She defends at a high level, applying ball pressure and showing off good footwork.

[player_tooltip player_id='1251326' first='Gabby' last='Watson'], Power Move, 2026, Point Guard

Gabby had a solid weekend. She was money in the midrange, knocking down multiple pull up jumpers. Her decision making was good and I like how she executed in pick and roll situations. She made some nice, accurate passes to the roller which led to easy baskets. She provided a spark to her team with some hustle plays and I thought she showed good leadership.

Jayla has good vision and passing skills. She has good balance, plays strong off two feet and has a nice shooting touch..Defensively she stays locked in, has good upper body strength and fights through screens. She is an exceptional athlete with plenty of speed and explosiveness.

Aairyn is more of a lead guard with a scorer's mentality. She's a lefty with a quick first step that gets her into the paint consistently where she is a good finisher. She knocked down several step-back three pointers so the range on the shot is there. She made some nice passes to teammates when she drew multiple defenders.
