The 2026 class will draw the majority of focus from small schools in the state. Today, I'd like to highlight a handful of prospects who could help small schools at the next level in different ways and highlight them before the month ends.

[player_tooltip player_id='842226' first='Maria' last='Hilbert']

The DSHA wing is an athletic multi-sport kid who could play multiple sports at the next level or go to a high academic institution like most DSHA kids could. Hilbert has shown flashes of brilliance with that group, and her athleticism helps her make these eye-catching plays that could catch a coach's attention. I've liked her for a little while, and there's plenty of room to grow, but there are things she has that you can't teach.

[player_tooltip player_id='888860' first='Nayeli' last='Kilen']

The Milton guard was an integral part of the Red Hawks team that had its best seasons in recent memory. Kilen set the tone at the point of attack and could score the ball. The Milton native was an excellent defender who could create chaos at the point of attack. Her ability to frustrate opposing lead guards creates confusion for opposing offenses, and it helps make Milton an excellent defensive group. She may not be a prominent name in the state, but any coach who lands her at the next level will love having her on their roster.

[player_tooltip player_id='777580' first='Sarah' last='Bolchen']

The Manitowoc native is an athletic guard who can get downhill and make plays in the paint. Bolchen can turn the corner against almost anyone. Her speed and quickness create problems for defenses because once she gets around her initial defender, it's challenging to limit clean looks from Bolchen's team. She can pass well out of the paint when she drives, and she's aggressive enough to get to the basket and draw fouls from kids who are late rotating on her drives. She has things she can improve, but her speed and creativity are valuable.

[player_tooltip player_id='953285' first='Sydney' last='Glynn']

The 5'11 wing/forward from Monona Grove is an intriguing kid who can fill multiple roles. She's a physical kid who's done a solid job defending posts around the basket and making life challenging for kids around the basket. Glynn has also stepped out to knock down jumpers and plays well within her team's offense. She may not be a kid who scores 20 every game, but every team she plays on plays her significant minutes for a reason. It's because she plays winning basketball.
