I've had the privilege to see a ton of basketball during this spring season of travel basketball. So far, I've hit: Sunshine State Showdown, Adidas 3SSB Session 1, PGH Peach Games, ENG Sports Invitational, and Live at Lakepoint. Here are some players that are on my radar so far this spring:

Chakayla caught my eye on the defensive end with her ball pressure and on-ball lock down defense on a guard from Minnesota at the first 3SSB stop. She's a strong, physical player with a solid frame and good feel for the game. Her vertical, elevation, and energy on the boards were impressive. This weekend proved that she's a well-rounded wing that is under the radar.

María is super tough to stop when she's getting downhill. Her quick first step, ability to finish with either hand, and strength with the ball make her a very talented finisher at the rim. She can hit the outside shot, and she's one of the smartest passers I've seen with some Bolivian flare. María does a nice job of protecting the ball on offense, making the right play, getting to two feet on the attack, and she's also strong on the defensive end with her instincts.

María was the best player on the court in the game I saw her play. She was making plays left and right in the open floor. Her game is tough as she can get to the rim and finish in traffic. During one game, María made a really difficult catch in transition, took two bigs steps, and finished at the basket for two transition points without using her dribble at all which was very impressive in a fast-paced matchup.

I haven't been able to watch Sophia much, so it was good to see her play some complete games this spring. The long-sleeve assassin is a shifty guard that is one of the best at being able to change her direction quickly with the rock in her hands. She can knock down the triple, hit a runner, or make a nice drop down pass to her bigs off when creating downhill.

Micaela is one of the best PG's in the state, regardless of class. She has a lot of speed, but plays the game under control and sets the tone for her offense. Her unselfishness and passing is what make her stand out as a talented, true point guard. She sees the floor well, makes nice dump down passes to her posts, and pushes the ball with control in transition. Mica can also knock down the 3 ball and is a real sleeper in this 2027 class in Florida.
